How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Couldn’t fault the property at all. Was very happy with everything
Love the property, so comfortable, clean and close to the Main Street. There was food essentials left for us. Had a great time and our stay felt very homely. The host was very helpful and accommodating, made us feel very welcome. ❤️

The shower tended to flood the floor a bit.
Really well appointed with everything you could want, even fresh bread and milk for breakfast. There were four of us and it was just right. Would definitely recommend.

We were fine as we were family and a small group, but a bigger group of guests might struggle with only one bathroom/loo.
Home from home close to town and the rail station. Private, clean and comfortable. Efficient, friendly communication with the host. Lots of convenient extras such as bread, milk, tea and kitchen basics. Comfortable beds, and nice bedding. Great for families with children as the grounds are suitable and lots of toys/games are provided, as are cots for little ones.

a large frypan needed to cook breakfast and hairdryer only works on 1 setting also i struggled to work the dryer in laundry none of this deflects our stay

Great location and house was perfect for a group. House was sparkling clean, very comfortable and beds were lovely. Fresh milk in the fridge with all the essentials available was really great making this a stress free trip.

Belle in Bowral was a lovely place to stay with all the things that you would need to make your stay enjoyable. The property had all the amenities that you would expect but it was the little extra touches that made the stay even more enjoyable and was conveniently located in Bowral making everything accessible via a short walk. Engaging with Belle was quite easy and any questions that I had were answered promptly. Will definitely look to stay here again if ever in Bowral.

Beautifully presented, well located only 10 minutes stroll into Bowral. Quiet, secure yard for our mini schnauzer and very thoughtful hosts. Milk and butter in the frig, not just a little, two fresh 1litre milks ! Coffee machine, plenty of pods, huge TV, great home. We’ll be back.

Nothing. It was all to our liking. More of an observation - and one that isn't specific to this property as it's the case with most regional towns - but there are less pavements as you get away from main streets so although it's a short stroll to the shops, there aren't footpaths for first few hundred yards and may not be such an easy route for prams / wheelchairs etc
Great location, walking distance to town. Well appointed, clean and modern. And we appreciated all the bonus bits it had for kids to sit, eat and play happily there. The air con was very effective and made for a really comfortable stay. It was great for 4 adults and 2 young ones. Highly recommend a trip to the Bowral swimming pool in summer time - a lovely space to cool off if it's hot.
