How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

nothing like what the ad says that it’s a villa it was a small demo table cabin in a caravan park the floor into the bathroom dropped an inch from the other floor the tv was mounted half way across the bathroom door lucky wasn’t tall or would have hit head don’t think it was worth the money

Bathroom fan filled with mould Bottom of shower curtain mouldy "Drinking water" very bad No security - boom gate always left up, not given a code to get in/out so no protection of items or cars. Staff were not in the reception when we arrived so they are not monitoring traffic coming in and out to ensure random people aren't entering the park

Campsite was very poorly maintained. I was very disappointed that the campsite raised a spurious claim for $80, stating that the dog had urinated on pillow and blanket. Dog has accompanied us on all our trips with booking.com over the last five years. Dog is fully house trained and not allowed on furniture. We have been complimented on how well we looked after facilities. Claim was ridiculous and ignoring.

Toilet seat lid kept falling down because it cannot go fully back.

Property bears no resemblance to the reality. The cabin I was in had a dropped floor and one end is propped up with a car jack. There is industrial junk everywhere. My dog is cleaner than where I put her bed. Someone should do an inspection.
Only the location as convenient driving from the Gold Coast. Next trip, I’ll simply drive on.

As above, the general presentation of the park was a bit rough but it looks like they are doing works there.
I travelled with my dog and they were the only place available just about anywhere around this region. Although the external presentation of the park is a bit bleak, the cabin was FANTASTIC and staff were brilliant and very helpful. Pleasantly surprised. You definitely should not judge a book by its cover!

a cockroach crawled across my legs while I was sleeping. the door didn't seal so mosquitos got in. it was so uncomfortable I decided to get up and leave in the early morning

it was dirty, small, there was rubbish and overgrown gardens and stuff everywhere. it was just dirty. behind a servo and the servo was filthy. there was pot holes, cracks in the road… just mess EVERYWHERE
reception guy hung up on me, I couldn’t understand him to I booked it online then when I called back to let him know he got up me and told me I wasted my money.

The single beds are actually a split bunk bed, so more suitable for children. The bed was too short for me, an average height adult. The linen smelt like it hadn't been washed in detergent (or at all!)
Location just off highway OK, but a fair bit of noise from heavy transport vehicles. Concrete slab for parking OK, but ramp up a bit of a challenge with a motorcycle.

The price to high for the small room it was not a villa like the picture. pillows no good, power point over kitchen bench burnt out with a hole in the switch, half roll toilet paper, no cereal bowls for us to have breakfast. The hand rail to get into the cabin is rotted & loose very dangerous. The park is very run down and untidy.
The bed was comfortable.

Was super easy and they even had the room ready for us slightly earlier as requested. Also allowed us to have our two small dogs stay with us, nothing was too big of a issue for them.

everything else - it’s a massive dive - like the American version of a filthy trailer park - very dodgy construction - un safe stairs and balustrade, crap bed that rolls around, bed linens yuk, no bowls, 2 spoons, 2 cups etc...seriously? noisy air con, whole cabin moves alarmingly when one person moves in it - urrggh Can’t attach pics but I took them to send to my fam cos I knew I wouldn’t be able to describe it well enough...the fee should be about $30 a night max
What did I like? ummm the people I met were friendly
