From the moment we parked our car, we had a sense of calm and excitement of what we were about to see inside the hotel. It did not disappoint. The hotel was lively and the restaurant lured us inside with all the sights and smells. We didn't have a booking at the restaurant however we were greeted with smiles and immediately the host made it possible for us to dine in for lunch whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The service and the food were all equally sensational. The Chef's and Hosts worked magically around us and at no point did we ever have to try and get their attention. Nothing was any trouble and this truly set our night for success at the winery concert. Well done to all the staff on all levels for making this a wonderful experience for us. Warmest regards.

Pillows were a bit high for me but the staff have noted it down to offer me an alternate pillow next.

The variety of gins and scotches in each bars was a treat as well as the lovely fire and comfy chairs. The breakfast was fresh and and tasty with an array of bakery style breads to choose from.

Room was near the whiskey bar which could be quite noisy. It has limited opening hours (5- 10 pm) so not too much of a porblem, but better sound proofing would improve the situation.

Lovely, old world ambience in historic building. Lots of EV chargers available - and you could reserve one. The Whiskey bar with the log fire, comfy chairs and spectacular whiskey and gin range, served by the bartender who really knew his whiskeys, was a highlight. Restaurant for dinner had good service, excellent food with a wide choice, great ambience.

The only thing that could be improved with the booking could be for the option of ground floor rooms be pre-told since there’s no lift access for first floor rooms as carrying luggages up the stairs could be a challenge for some.

Very comfortable and clean. Very happy with the little shared coffee tea milk & sofas sharing facility near our Petite room to compensate for our small room.

Our room was large and well equiped, we had a great nights sleep with no noise and a very comfortable bed. Great bar where we had a few drinks before a lovely dinner. We look for places that we can really relax in, not have to drive to find a place for a social drink or to eat and this ticked all the boxes. We look forward to staying again.

The minute we walked into our room it smelt very musty. There was also mould on the ceiling the bathroom. Obviously have an issues with damp.Bedroom too bright of a night with all of the lights outside . Blockout blinds would be good.
