How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bed was very soft. The glassware was plastic, including the wine glasses, so we ended up borrowing some from the local wine shop.
Great location in main street. Clean and well appointed unit. Free parking.

We had some trouble finding the parking at the rear of the property, more signage near carpark entrance would be ideal! The property lacked a bit of natural light and main street location did mean some late-night noise but didnt last long.
We liked the layout of the apartment, and it was comfortable and clean.

Location superb Finding it was a little harder, instructions could have been better and perhaps signage at car park entrance would assist, along with advice that highlights which door is not the entrance Some difficulty with key safe after opening and the safe door self locking. How to unlock Would be advisable Also would be good to have som outside furniture in the front of property

Small dislike - a bedside table and lamp on both sides of the bed would have been great.
Fantastic location, beautiful little apartment. Well presented, super clean and some lovely luxurious touches in the bathroom and kitchen. Really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend.

It would be nice to have a little outside area, but I get that its difficult given its location.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and the amenities were very good. Great location, right in the centre of main street so a nice easy walk to shops, cafes etc. The hosts were easy to communicate with and you felt safe in the apartment.

The lounge was very uncomfortable. Disappointed there wasn't a token bath bomb for the lovely huge tub. Would have bought one but sadly none of the local shops sold any.

Very nice and comfortable apartment right in the centre of town. Fully furnished and had everything that we needed for our short stay. The only (minor) down side is that we had to make sure that the dishes are washed, dried and put away before check out at 10am. It would have been nice to only needed to have the dishwasher running before we left because it meant that we had a bit more time in the morning at check out. Still this was only a minor inconvenience. Would definitely look to staying here again in future.

Not a big fan of that UHT milk, maybe a small fresh milk to start off a nice cuppa on arrival!
Excellent location - right in middle of town on main street. Walking distance to everything. Extra gated security. Fabulous everything!

Beautiful apartment, right in the centre of Rutherglen. Furnishings gorgeous, comfy bed, everything we needed. Great communication regarding check in. Absolutely recommend and will stay again.

dishes were not washed properly and quite unclean when needing to be used, air conditioner was not warm enough on a cold night and in my opinion too small a unite for the size of the property as they have very high roofs. cold air was seeping in from somewhere? Just for future reference, a few booklets regarding use of TV, foxtel and air conditioner would be useful for guests unfamiliar with these appliances.
location was practical, property was secure and private, on site parking available, amenities comfortable and on trend and supplied everything we needed.

There was no body wash in the shower dispenser. There was only one very small square of soap supplied for us both to use over 2 days, having to remember to move it from bath to shower to vanity basin. There was only 4 coffee sachets for two days. Over our 2 week holiday, staying at many other accommodation settings, this was the most expensive we booked, but it sadly felt very stingy on basic supplies that we would have expected better stocked. We were cycling between towns and having these supplies was important to us to reduce the weight we needed to personally carry.
The bath was amazing. Centrally located, booking was easy and good communication.
