Nothing came to mind – we'd been there only for one night, and we were happy with the experience.

A good room, the motel offers a one-night stay (not often recently). A yummy breakfast was delivered to our room (paid separately). The restaurant adjacent to the motel provides a wide range of food. We do recommend the Big Trout motel for a family stay.

I recently stayed in a family two-bedroom room and encountered a few issues. The room had only one wall heater, which was insufficient to keep both bedrooms warm. The second bedroom only had a central fan or heater, which didn’t help with heating. Additionally, there was a large hole in the wall beneath the bedside table, making the room even colder. Lastly, the noise from the water pump whenever the neighboring room used the toilet or hot water was disruptive and woke me up.

The location is good, walking distance to the town. Staff is very nice and warm welcomed.

A very convenient place to stay when visiting Mayfield Gardens. It was a short drive to the RSL (who provided a courtesy bus) and the location is also close to the lovely Cafes and IGA store in the main street. Heating in the room was extremely effective and so welcoming. We had great Chinese food at the onsite restaurant. (The serving sizes and the food was way above our expectations). Room cleanliness was 100%

The attached Chinese restaurant was mediocre at best. Was ok for the kids, after a 5hr drive for a quick dinner. Didn't like how the beds would move easily. Unable to lock the wheels.

We liked how clean and organised it was. We all suffer from asthma and allergies so find other motels can be a bit dusty, and were happy to find it so clean. As we were travelling with young children we were impressed that we wernt squished in-between other patrons. We felt comfortable enough if the kids got a bit rumbuxious not to be so stressed. Kids loved seeing the cows through their window with the paddock right behind. TV in each room, aircon/heating in each room and electric blankets a nice touch. Also, we had a spa bath included, which the kids loved.

Price was steep. I know it was a holiday weekend, but still exi for the location. That was the only twinge, but I preferred to pay then drive at wee hours of the morning to make a 10am caves appointment.

Very surprised. Great staff, we had the spacious family room #2. It’s excellent for a family of four and the beds were really comfy! Super clean and refurbished bathroom. It’s nothing fancy, but the best basics. We spent a quick night there on the way to Jenolan Caves. It was perfect. The only drawback was it was pricey, but it was Easter weekend.

A bit dated. Restaurant was closed due to holidays but the staff recommended the Thai restaurant at the Oberon Golf Club which was perfect.

The view from our room was this peaceful little paddock. The staff were friendly. Really great location for visiting the Jenolan Caves. The room was very clean. Kitchenette also had a microwave which came in handy as everything was closed in Oberon so we had to heat up frozen meals we’d purchased on our way through Bathurst.
