Cottage is very comfortable and clean… but getting a bit tired

Location was terrific. Very quiet cottage in amongst the vines and lots of visiting kangaroos. And only a couple of minutes walk to our concert

The only glitch we experienced this time was no wifi. There was something wrong with the router and it kept turning on and then off again, flickering, but never stayed on long enough for anyone to check their messages. It wasn’t too much of a problem as we were not there for the wifi, however we had relatives with us that needed to check in for their flight home and check on its status. I called reception who said they would send maintenance, but it was not fixed. Minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless.

Another wonderful stay - our third time at the Homestead. It is truly peaceful and beautiful with so much space and kangaroos everywhere! Our favourite place to stay in the vineyards.

Lovely homestead but downstairs bathroom doesn't appear to be in keeping with the rest of the place - a bit tired and therefore comes across as not as clean and modern as the rest of the place.

Great location, spacious and great communication from staff. Thank you, Liz, for all your help with the bed configuration and extras ordered. Master bedroom was very spacious and comfy from what we have been told. The pool, pool table and darts kept the kids entertained after a long drive. Kangaroos coming by for a visit in the afternoon and bunnies in the morning were a bonus.

Not accommodation related but we missed out on wine tasting at Bimbadgen because the cellar door closed so early. We'd come from a cellar door closing at 5pm and the one before at 6pm, only to realise the cellar door at Bimbadgen closes at 4pm!! Don't make the same mistake as us, as was sad to not try the wine at the place we were staying. We should have done our research too.

Loved our stay at the Cottage at Bimbadgen. Such a great central location and base for visiting the Xmas Lights at Hunter Valley Gardens and enjoying all the local wineries and food offerings in the area. We felt so rested and didn't want to go home. We didn't have time to utilise the pool this time round as we were just so busy out and about, but next time we'd bring the swimmers. Beautiful outlook and next time we'd enjoy a cheeseboard on the veranda with the stunning view out to the vineyards

This was our second stay at the Bimbadgen homestead and it was equally as magical as last time. Beautiful location, kangaroos everywhere, comfy beds and a well-equipped house. The cheese plate, sparking wine and brekkie items included was a lovely touch. Will def be staying again.

it’s an older house and needs a lot of work done - but it’s liveable. to be honest - they really need to renovate the bathrooms as a minimum. the showers hardly work and it’s just not nice.

the homestead was large and really great for a larger group. the pool was amazing and the outlook beautiful.

They leave no room for anything negative … if you see this place available just book it even if it’s for just one night..

The hospitality team is just par excellence and we got complimentary breakfast , cheese and crackers and a personalised note along with a sparkling … They have a pool table and a dart board too and tons of board games … music system… you think of it and thus villa has got you covered … Not to mention the jacuzzi in the master bedroom… surpassed our expectations…

There was no basic supplies in the kitchen, paper towel, cling wrap, salt and pepper and limited cooking utensils.

Spacious accommodation, beds were comfortable and beautiful views across the vineyards.

My only 2 negatives which wouldn't stop me from staying again was that the cottage was also rented out and there are no blinds for privacy in the lounge room and a slightly larger dinning table

The house and the space was great for a group of friends catching up with the lounge and the bedrooms separated. The pool table and the darts and heating were all well utilised . The extra touch of having some breakfast foods and welcoming package was a great surprise. The location was handy and a great base for our weekend.

Overall the house needs a really good clean, there were a lot of dead bugs all over the floors and bathrooms, the floors inside were very dirty and bathrooms really need a complete renovation, they’re mouldy and rusty. It’s also very hot without aircon anywhere except for the master bedroom upstairs.

The house is great for a large family and the property is beautiful with the vineyards, kangaroos and bunnies around, the kids loved the pool. The wine and cheese platter in the fridge was lovely and the crossiants and breakfast items a nice touch.

It was a nice surprise, was not expecting it. Promised cheese and crackers upon arrival was missing crackers!! Otherwise, a lovely cheese plate.
