I liked that it was cosy, clean and just perfect for a quick stopover after a long trip. The safe space for my little doggy was just what was needed. Breakfast was fabulous, Having toast and cereal yoghurt on hand was a lifesaver.

It was a lovingly set up and fitted out self contained cottage with everything we needed and some lovely extras in the fridge and for tea as well. Communication with the host was easy and straightforward. We felt very welcomed and at home! Thank you so much for having us!

the bed was a little hard; But then we are used to a soft bed; since most people like a firm mattress, we appreciate you can't cater to everyone exactly as they have at home.

The bed was a little harder than we are accustomed to; however, many people like a firm mattress and it is not possible to cater to every one in this matter.

The provisions for breakfast were excellent. A wide range of choices for continental breaksfast.

A complete holiday apartment with washer & vacuum, I truly loved the yard and the fact this is truly - truly pet friendly right down to the fake (very realistic looking) plants (so many flowers and plants are toxic to pets, Black Cottage took extra care to make very lovely plant decorations without any accidental toxicity).

The accommodation & hospitality provided by Suzanne was absolutely fantastic & definitely well above our expectations. The cleanliness & decor of the cottage was to a very high standard & the provisions supplied were more than enough.

The cottage was beautifully decorated, very welcoming, excellent amenities and well thought out! There was a wide range of food for our complimentary breakfast which we really enjoyed! Suzanne also put the air con before we arrived to make sure we were comfortable.

After spending many many hours travelling to Hay and not being able to find the cottage the host was very aggressive and unaccommodating and in fact very rude which took the gloss off our stay at the Black Sheep Cottage.

Excellent selection of breakfast foods, more than one could wish for.

very clean and comfortable. well located. everything we needed was provided. our dogs were welcome. in fact, as a “dog friendly” accommodation it was very secure and the dogs had an outside area where they could stay and be safe.

Our car was a bit big to get into the garage so we parked on the street. It would be fine for a smaller car

Great breakfast selection and the owner offered to make us coffee in her cafe located adjacent to the accommodation. Accommodation was just what we needed to have a good rest after a long drive. Great water pressure in the shower Comfy bed We'd book again if going that way.

Hot night, so slept with door open. Wire door doesn’t lock! Not as secure as we would have liked.

Set up beautifully, and breakfast catered for my Lactose intolerance without me telling them about it!

Norhing to dislike.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and had a warm homely feeling. Everything you needed and more was supplied. We'll be back for a longer stay next time.
