How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was a bust, if you pay for breakfast you’d at least expect a decent cup of coffee to be available, not just bread and cereal in the room. Also the pre-auth was more than the cost of the room and took 9days to be refunded back to my bank account.

Parking was a little tight, not a lot of room for a bigger vehicle. Walls were quite thin, noisy guests next door.

The shower and vanity in the bathroom werent great and a very old air conditioner however it worked well enough.
It was a little dated (bathroom) however we did expect the this type of room for # $110.00 and we had a wedding close by so served our purpose. The staff were very friendly and we had lunch at the hotel on site and that was very nice and with great service.

The heater was inefficient in room 6, barely heated the room on a cold night. The cold tap in room 6 is tricky to use you have to spin the tap full before you get any cold water, I almost burnt myself in the shower. When I returned the second day there was a sewerage smell in the room ? From the drains
Loved the privacy, the size of the room, the cleanliness and the microwave option, lived the servicing if required.

Need some lighting outside the rooms, I had to use my phone as a torch to see the room numbers and to see the keyhole.
It was a good, basic room with everything you need for a couple of nights’ stay. Would definitely stay again.

The heater in the room sounded like a jet engine and didn’t put out any warmth. The bed was on wheels so sitting up in bed (trying to stay warm and watch tv) meant it rolled away from the wall….
The room was convenient for where we needed to be and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed having a meal in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly.

Shower and bathroom sink/vanity needs to be improved - has separate old-fashioned cold water tap (freezing) and hot water tap (boiling hot). Much more friendly to have a mixer tap arrangement. Also the reverse-cycle air-con unit was quite noisy, may need a service or tightening of bolts! Breakfast could have been better at the bistro (nice hot breakky) as opposed to the cold continental one included.
General location and layout was good. Place was very quiet, no noise from traffic. Good parking facilities. Coffee and tea in room, plus a small fridge and microwave.

Cathedral ceilings made the room very cold, the antiquated air conditioning system was inadequate for the size of the room. Air conditioning was also very noisy, even the next doors air-conditioning could be heard as if it was a motor running outside the window. The bathroom was very small with no space to put things.

Bathroom very poor. Shower base had high sides with impossible entry next to toilet. Cracked glass on front shower screen. I could not get into shower. Also hot water was scalding temp with no mixer tap in sink. Dangerous. No bathroom pics appeared on website.

Noisy AC unit. Main room light didn't work, but decided to come on later.
I was happy with the accommodation. Wasn't the best I've stayed in, but good value for money. Had everything needed. Pub food was quite good. Make your own breakfast in the room, which is good as I needed to leave early.
