How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! The environment and staff were so lovely. Comfy beds and the location was great. It’s also quiet during night time to sleep. Awesome pool and bar. Staff arrange different events during the week which was nice to meet other people in the hostel. They also offer free shuttles to the beach 3 times a day which was amazing. The bar staff serve amazing cocktails and the kitchen serve delicious pizzas and burgers. Definitively recommend! :)

A little further away from everything but there is free shuttle buses from hostel

Just a little bit far out of main beach Noosa but the free shuttle service made up for that and only a short walk to Noosa river

Far away from town, could have offered a bit more to justify the high price such as curtains on the beds or a permanent discount on drinks instead of just a short happy hour, a lot of ‘frat boys’ in the hostel which brought down the bar and pool’s atmosphere.
Beautiful hostel, brilliant clean kitchen and walk in fridge with lots of space, amenities worked well, good air conditioning in the room, helpful and friendly staff, swimming pool, bar with happy hour, sun cream and cold drinking water tap.

mattress had quite a big dip which made it rather uncomfortable. very close to woolsworth, however, quite far from the beaches and center (but there are shuttles and public buses)
beautiful hostel with spacious dorms and very stirdy bunk beds. nice and spacious kitchen, which is always clean.

Very nice Hostel! Free shuttle three times a day otherwise it’s also possible to take the public bus, which is free during Christmas & eastern. Free sunscreen and tap water at the bar! Great kitchen and common areas to meet new people! Woolworth just across the street!

I got stained sheets, which were luckily swapped over very quickly by staff, location could be a bit better. Personally I didn't really like the fact that it very much felt like a party hostel(the people staying there). Which the rest of the guests seemed to be very happy about, so probably my fault for not looking closely before booking. I would say that its mostly a young agegroup staying there.
Staff at front desk are VERY nice and very helpfull. The pool was beautifull, lots of space to sit and hangout. Supermarket across the street. Beds very very nicely organised, very sturdy bunkbeds with each two plugs for charging and a private nightlight.

It’s super expensive for what it is, the staff are also quite cliquey and sometimes rude
This hostel is honestly so nice, pool area is incredible and the beds are super comfy and feel more private in dorms than other hostels in Australia. The kitchen area and bathrooms are great

A little far out from the main area. However not a problem for us as we had a car.

The location of the hostel was quite far out. However the hostel shuttle bus and the free weekend public transport were helpful!
This hostel is such a vibe. The bar/pool area is gorgeous! Really good deals on drinks and food at the hostel. Room was absolutely stunning- spacious and clean! Staff were helpful. Free shuttle to noosa main beach which helped!
