Only one bathroom. This is not a criticism as we were aware of that on making the booking. Was limiting however at times especially with access to the toilet as it was located within the bathroom.

The open fire was great and our dogs loved the enclosed backyard. The kitchen was well appointed with new appliances, good cookware and crockery etc.

Positioned at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the house is in a quiet area and only a few minutes drive from the centre of town. The bird-life in the morning was beautiful and there is a large sunny deck on both the back and front of the house to enjoy the peace and quiet. The photos really don't do it justice and the place was much larger than we thought. My four legged friend loved the large fully fenced yard to run around, and enjoyed sleeping near the fire-place on a cold winter night. The host welcomed us on arrival and provided all the firewood we needed for the weekend. Thank you David for your hospitality.

Heating. Very cold house. Needs more insulation. Wood heater effective only after an hour. Does not heat whole house. Eco heaters inefficient. Minimal /no window treatments. Electric blankets unsuited for people with pacemaker. Needed much warmer/cosier bedding. Door locks not secure enough especially on sliders.

Self catering. Excellent but freezing cold kitchen very well equipped house. Could cater for family easily in warmer weather or with better heating. Location and privacy hood. Bit of a tired old house. Needs some TLC.

Spacious 3 bedroom bungalow for family of 4 including 2 adult children. Well stocked kitchen with all important coffee machine (capsules) and other early morning appliances before heading out for the day. Quite location positioned 5 mins drive from Retford Park and Ngununggula Southern Highlands Gallery. Large backyard (for dogs) and wide front and back verandahs for relaxing. Firewood provided.

The major downside of this property is that there is only one bathroom and/or toilet. While access is available from the master bedroom AND from the hallway, the bottom line is there is still only the one facility. For older couples (we had 3 x couples with the youngest individual aged 60), personal space is a little compromised where the toilet is in the bathroom area. To be honest, this is the property’s only downside, but it is potentially a significant one. We booked the place with our eyes open.

David & Katrina were very obliging with the provision of oils and Chux super wipes that had run out prior to arrival. Good supply of cutlery, cooking utensils and glasses. 3-bedrooms fully furnished with comfortable lounge area and back verandah with barbeque.

If I had a bed to myself I think I would have had a great sleep. I had to share with my son and the bed is one where every movement the other person made I would feel a ripple effect. I woke up a few too many times to get a good nights rest BUT I was warm and this may not bother a heavy sleeper.

Ease of communication with host, short drive to town centre, very clean, fun selection of dvds, warm shower with continuous water heating, comfortable home with tea and coffee provided. Had everything we needed.

lots of rain but yard had long grass so we didn’t venture outside ( rainy weekend ) wifi but TV wasn’t smart or we weren’t ?

easy stay with 3 bedrooms for our family with electric blankets and heaters in each room made it very cosy . kitchen was well equipped with some basics supplied like oil, pasta and sauce . bedding and towels good quality and plenty of rugs and extra pillows .

good location, clean and comfortable lounges and beds. Shower was really hot. it was a very cold weekend we were there, so a bit cold inside u til we got the fire going. lots of extra blankets and the beds had electric blankets.

Very cold despite heaters and wood fire stove - took a day to warm the house up. Plus need a large saucepan for boiling pasta for 4 people.
