Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

AustraliaThe other permanent residents were very unfriendly made you feel unwelcome. The property was not clean and had a faulty oven main bed wasn’t made up, we couldn’t access the air conditioning lucky it was cool, balcony was huge but you were unable to smoke on the balcony or vape, residents rang information centre as soon as we got there, as a friend was sitting out side vaping. Main areas had a bad smell and were not clean.

AustraliaWe have stayed at this same apartment numerous times now. Unfortunately the apartment was very dirty upon arrival, and we had linen missing. There is a terrible smell of mould in the main bathroom and kitchen sink. The bathroom cabinet is unusable - the shelf is weak and has significant water damage.

AustraliaBreakwater 102 very disappointing. Does not reflect the standards of the resort very uncomfortable to have to clean Toilets and bedding when you first arrive.
The whyndham ramada resort itself is absolutely beautiful. We have stayed many times and will stay many more. Unfortunately breakwater 102 was not in anyway up to the standards expected. We have stayed in the same unit before. It's understandable the unit is not modern, but this time it was very poor. The whole apartment needs to be cleaned. We had to clean Toilets, the mattress protectors and pillow protecters were not clean or changed, we did receive clean ones after calling winning holidays. The carpets had not been vacuumed. The verandah was dirty and out door furniture had roaches and droppings galore. Oven fridge and kitchen cupboards need cleaning. Very disappointed as this reflects poorly to the resort if anyone was to stay there in unit 102. I would highly recommend the owner or agents take a good look at who is maintaining that unit. As the resort itself and other units are tip top clean. Will not be booking through winning holidays again.
