How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Cabin was very close to road so was quite noisy. Was also located beside bins. Expensive for a very basic cabin that was quite old.

Cabin was clean and everything worked as it should. Plenty of hot water. Liked being a short distance from Bright, nice and quiet, but close enough to easily drive to restaurants etc. Good communication by the owners on our day of arrival, checking in was a breeze. We were also able to check out an hour later than normal which was great 😃

Accomodation was like in a caravan without wheels. Little black ants on the floor.

Good location out of Bright. Front cabins are very close to the road so quite noisy especially when motorbikes pass. Otherwise cabin was great. Comfortable, clean and well equipped for a quick stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the treetop cabin. No amenities, although we knew that before hand. Would have improved things, more value for money

They didn’t have a games room for the kids to play. The playground was quite dated also and is due for replacing
The pool was basic, but the kids loved it. The bbq area was also quite nice and we had some family dinners on the tables provided.

Mattress was not comfortable in the double bed at all I kept rolling in the middle every night. We had ants in our cabin which the ant rid was not helping.

The original room we booked thru Booking.com was not suitable at all. Up a steep flight of stairs and all that was in it was a double bed. No handbasin. No electric jug. No toilet. Obviously I has not read the description properly. The Receptionist = Karen, helped us to upgrade to a cabin with everything, that we enjoyed for the next 2 nts.

I would've preferred a room with a bathroom, but I guess they were not available. Instead, at night, one has to get dressed, walk down iron steps in the cold to communal toilets/showers. Room is quite small and no TV, no WiFi, no fridge nor wash basin, not even a desk.
Good, quiet location, close to Bright centre (4 Kms), with easy parking. Friendly, accommodating staff.

First place we have been to on our travels that didn’t provide a hand towel in the bathroom or even just a little cartoon of milk in the fridge.

Guests using the bbq area at midnight with music going and not having a saucepan big enough to boil pasta for 2 people.

Water was brown so bring bottled water And found a hair on the side table in the bedroom When I arrived

Cabin was close to the road so alot of traffic noise. After reading reviews about the water we took bottles to boil for coffee unfortunately the kettle and pots are tainted and left a really bad tasting coffee. There was a inside games room on the website but we walked around and couldn’t find it.
Was easy to find cabin was a fair size for the price. Key was left in door so didn’t have to chase it up when we arrived

The heater was already on when we entered the room which was fantastic. After a few hours we felt not as warm as expected so we checked all windows and realised some windows were opened (behind curtains). We will check all windows next time to save the heater.
Staff was super friendly and the room was clean and cozy.
