Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe staff were friendly enough however were quiet rude at times, while I was having a shower house keeping kind of just bardged in without knocking or saying anything and was on the phone to someone and just quickly put stuff in the room and left without saying anything to me or my partner. Also the room and bathroom were quite small compared to the pictures and especially for the price it wasn't as good as it could have been but it was still ok I guess.
I liked the easy access to our room and how comfortable it was there and the beautiful view of the city from the top floor.

AustraliaNoise from neighboring doors.
Room size was fine, location for what we needed was perfect. Good value for money compared to other motels in the vicinity. Didn't have time to use the facilities but all look great.

AustraliaHad to change rooms as TV was not working properly. Evening meal in restaurant was not worth $60 for two courses, especially when there are no vegetables or salad added. Main course pork fillet was dry and hard on top. It took one and a half hours to be served an entree and main dish
Reception went well. Room suited our needs. Good selection of breakfast foods, especially gluten free options, maybe lactose free milk could be added.

United StatesThe door seemed a bit thin and it was pretty easy to hear when doors opened/closed or people passed by in the hallway.
Room was clean and had a nice layout; bed was comfortable. Big floor to ceiling window made it quite light which was nice. Pool was shaded and cool in the afternoon which was nice as it was very hot in Brisbane during our stay. Location is a pretty easy walk to the riverfront and the CBD. There was a minor disturbance on our floor with a fair bit of shouting, but by the time we called the front desk (which did not take long) the manager was already en route, and they apparently dealt with it quickly because we didn't hear anything else after about 5 minutes- overall seemed to be well handled by the hotel staff which I see as a major positive.

AustraliaThe chrome cast was patchy as it often is in hotels.

AustraliaThe gym is fairly basic and small and feels crowded as soon as one or two people are in there (ie one piece of equipment of a few types so peak hours can be challenging to do the workout you want)
Very clean, feels premium, good facilities and affordable for the city and premium feel.

Australiano Welcome note , make the service personalize perhaps? 😉
We have a 10 yr old kid so We were out the whole day, but we always look forward to come ‘home’ to our room because we knew it was comfy and clean. We were to do a lit of things within and outside the city because we always had a good sleep every night.

GermanyThe breakfast was not as good as hoped & expected for Queensland, and didn't really provide many options for my vegetarian partner compared to the price. Staff were also very hard to get a hold of for requests and slow to respond here - the next day, we found a fab brunch spot (which Brisbane has many). The way the hotel is designed, many rooms only have small city views, but generally, you're only in the room to shower/sleep/recover from the heat as Brisbane is a city you want to be out and about in. Also, there was some confusion on how to drive to the front of the building, Google Maps and Ubers kept coming to the back of the building, so be sure to check this before arriving by car (or ordering Ubers while staying here).
Newly renovated with lovely rooms, the Amora is a great value for the price, quality of the rooms, and central location in Brisbane. A lot is walking distance away, close to Central station, buses, ferries, and short car trips to key areas (eg. New Farm, James Street etc). We loved our modern spacious room, huge comfortable bed, and fabulous bathroom with a rainshower. It was a great retreat from the heat at the end of the day, and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a small cafe/bar area near entrance and one restaurant, so you mostly need to find other places to eat in the city centre or The Valley, both walking distance away (as there's nothing close by as it's a commercial area). We enjoyed the pool and gym area too, though both got very busy so best to go early! Overall, for the price vs value, the Amora met our needs and would recommend for those seeking a comfortable room on a budget!

AustraliaThere is nothing to complain about the room and location, but the food could be more imaginative with options for vegan and vegetarian dishes. Possibly, rooms could be provided with some fruits or peanuts, etc

New ZealandThe shower/bath was to high to get in and as a plus sized person if was difficult. It would have been a lot easier if there were railings and if the glass were to open. That was my only dislike about the room.
The place was everything that it was advertised to be. Staff were lovely and I felt welcomed. Danht at reception was such a gentleman very professional and friendly.
