Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThere were lots of insects in the kitchen cupboards and drawers and the room was not cleaned very well, found hairs all over the bedding. For $300/night I would have expected much more, could have stayed in a four star hotel for the same price. I also had to wait two hours after my check in time to check in because they weren’t done cleaning.

Australiaroom was not ready and smelt of body odour, other arriving guests were present complaining their rooms were also not clean or prepared, 'jenny" would not answer her phone and only communicated by sms to me and other guests, she addressed me as "anna" in sms my name is Douglas and declined requests to speak directly, after a 5 hour drive and with dinner booked there were no clean towels, another guest had to go to an adjacent cafe who kindly contacted someone associated with the place, Michael, to come in. No attempt by Jenny to make any amends. In my sms I said that it was very unprofessional, Jenny responded that she had contacted me soon after check in time and the room would be ready at 5pm, it was not ready to well after that as we had to go to dinner with the room still unusable well after 5pm. no apology.
