Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaNO DIRECT ACCESS TO BEACH. I booked this accommodation as Google maps showed it as around 20meters from the waters edge but in fact the closest beach access is 900meters away as the entire beach front has been fenced off by the adjacent accommodation. SUPER ANNOYING.

AustraliaI didn’t like that it was quiet difficult to find. could be possibly down to us booking last minute but there wasn’t much direction as to where the property was. It is part of complex shared by another provider who have their signs up everywhere. It makes it look as if you have the wrong premises on arrival.
I like the layout of the property, it was right next to the pool and have a lovely little patio area. the owner of the property was also very accommodating with giving us last minute accommodation.

AustraliaDifficult to find & get in initially as didn't get the email with instructions, but a call to Mark & all was resolved. The apartment is within another complex, so there is no visible sign for Byron Bay Beach Haven or reception etc key is available from a locked box on site. Entry is a little odd, with 2 apartments sharing an angled entry. Bed was ok, but is 2 singles pushed together rather than a full comfortable mattress. Shower has great pressure, though leaks water. Just needs the bottom seal tapped back on to allow the door to close. Lovely front porch area for relaxing, though as it's a ground floor apartment, some sheer curtains are needed for privacy.
Lovely little apartment with all you need for a short stay. Was clean & the air was on for us when we arrived. The attached resort has a nice little pool/spa, just outside the room. Great little space saving table/chairs.

AustraliaThe bathroom was tiny, shower cubicle was a good size and it was a good powerful shower, but you had to squeeze past the door and the shower cubicle to get to the toilet and the tiny sink. We booked quite late so it cost us $300 a night! That was expensive!!
Great location, 5min walk to the town center. Private carpark was fantastic! Studio room size was about the size of a hotel room with a small kitchenette and fridge. We never used the portable electric cooktop which was in the cupboard.

AustraliaUnit is at the back of the complex and some ambient noise from the pool (closed at 9pm) and people chatting on their balconies. However, on the flip side no road noise. would definitely go back again.
10 minute walk to town, Accommodation was modern with monsoon head shower and comfy bed which we loved. Secure car parking underneath excellent.

The 24/7 self check in definitely made our life easier. Plenty of parking on street but also a secured underground parking. Location is great , literally a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurant etc.

Australia- unit 7b is within Eco Beach Resort but need to go to the office of Beachfront Apartments (about 900m away) to check in & check out. All that wasn’t very clear from the listing. - Any issues need to be reported to Beachfront management, the resort where the unit is doesn’t seem to be responsible (bit strange arrangement) - one entrance door leading to 2 separate doors to units 7a & 7b next to each other is a hassle especially when you are carrying stuff & need to unlock 2 doors & maneuver thro limited space - could clearly hear conversations next door in 7a - unfortunately the unit was having a bad smell which we didn’t realize when we went in as the apartment seemed to have been cleaned a little earlier & the smell of the cleaning materials used camouflaged it initially. We had to buy & use 1 can of room freshener but didn’t help much. Reported the next day (after our morning trip) but was told being Sunday it is difficult to get someone to look. $864 for 2 nights in that small unit with that bad smell was totally unfair - pool & spa in the resort were not that clean with leaves & other stuff in there, didn’t feel confident to use them.
