There was a bit confusion as it seemed like the host didn’t know we were coming, so when we came there wasn’t any linen or towels. We had to contact her to let her know, but they came and were very nice👍🏻 I guess it was just a bit of miscommunication.

Very nice place in quiet surroundings.

It can get hot and stuffy inside but once the doors are all open and fans are on, the temperature becomes ok. The road to this property is a bit damaged and quite uneven. Ppl need to drive with great caution at night.

it’s clean, classic and comfy. We love the vibes

I would of liked to have been informed about the roads, rough conditions comming in. The water running across the low lying area was quite daunting, when you wernt expecting it.. A surprise was no longlife milk offered, but there was tea and coffee. A microwave would be a great addition for quick meals, especially when there is no close shops. A curtain or blind on the 2 half glass half wood doors for privacy. We had another guest arrive at 9.30 at night, parking outside our Yurt it felt quite exposing. These are not meant as criticism, just I hope, helpful hints for future guests

I loved the isolation of the property, the uniqueness, which is what interested me in the first place. It was simple but quite charming. Reccomend for someone who is looking for something a little left of centre. I booked it for a early 27th Birthday surprise for my daughter, she loved it. Its a short drive to Crystal Castle, which was perfect for us. Definitely will recommend ,actually already have on Instagram and Facebook 🥰

Lack of privacy: no door, screen or curtain on the bathroom; uncovered glass on all external doors. Tiny fridge with a freezer section that didn’t work properly.

It would of been nice to have a top sheet as well as quilt on the bed. Also maybe a fresh mow around the yurt’s would make it look neater,

The yurt was clean, spacious and well equipped with crockery etc.

Nothing mentioned in the details about the stream that flows over the road when near the location, if it raining hard and water lever rises it would be difficult to get in or out/ you might not have a suitable car, it was quite deep when we where there. It's also not 25 minutes away from Byron Bay it's more like a good 40 minutes to the Bay. On arrival, the gas was not working! We couldn't get hold of anyone with the given contact number for an hour. We couldn't cook as the stove was gas and we had cold showers. The bathroom has no door! The yurt windows have no curtains! So, absolutely no privacy. We had a towel each and had to ask for extra as we booked for 6 nights. The bathroom floor towel is tiny and not ideal as the shower has no shower curtain or door, so water can get onto the tiled floor, making it very slippy. No washing machine. Nowhere to hang any of your clothes up. It's not what it looks like on photos. There was a rug that was soaking wet on the floor near the sofa area, exposed light bulbs in the fan lights, screws pointing into the yurt in the walls! One near the head of the bed! If you're sitting in bed, the dressing table mirror they have decorated the yurt with is perfectly placed so you can see whoever is staying with you in the bathroom! The kitchen had the basics, not the best (no can opener) It is like an oven in there! So when the sun is on the yurt, it is hot There is no sheet for the bed, so it's either a duvet on you or nothing. We got woken up before 8 am twice by a man with a petrol strimmer. The girl got the gas fixed the next day when she finally answered our call around 9pm. the night we arrived. I pointed out a few issues that I have mentioned to he, and in her reply, she said, "It's not a fancy hotel!" I understand this, hence why I booked it, but their are a lot of basic problems that could be made better.

I really like the Hinterland countryside

There was no gas for the stove or the hot water so could not have a shower as the water was freezing and couldn’t cook dinner or breakfast because the gas stove top didn’t work and there were no restaurants close by. We contacted the owner and was told they would sort something out and call back but they didn’t and then would not answer my phone calls. Also there was a bad smell in the yurt the whole time.

The location was nice and the bed was comfortable

Unfortunately the water pump died and we were without water for a day ... difficult washing dishes, no showers, needed to fetch buckets of water to flush toilet ... Kitchen could have been better equipped, no tongs, dish washing sponges beyond use by date, nothing to light gas cook top with, no dish washing liquid, needed to ask for blanket as no linen or bedding provided for fold down bed.

    Caretaker very helpful ...

There is absolutely no sense of security. No lighting no cameras. The directions take you to the wrong spot. No lights to lead you inside the Yurt. Absolutely freezing water no hot water. Doors do not lock properly. Can see inside the Yurt but not outside.
