Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaHad an absolutely amazing stay for 2 nights. The place is so beautiful, relaxing. We felt we had been on holidays for a week as we left well rested, soul fulfilled. The hosts are very welcoming and engaging and helpful, as well as respectful of our privacy. We felt at home and will be revisiting at the earliest opportunity.

We actually felt very privileged to stay in this little corner of paradise. The host was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the company of Dougal (the puppy). The exterior, and especially the interior, of the property was delightful and to sit back and have the amazing view of the rainforest out of your window and from the porch, was a joy. The accommodation had everything you could need (other than scissors - which seems to be a 'thing' as no-one provides them, we have found). Internet was very flaky but its worth that small sacrifice. This is a very special place, not to be missed.

AustraliaPhone service and wifi is marginal due to location, reception can be had in different areas, but we suffered no ill effects or feelings of deprivation.
Garden Studio is very spacious and airy accommodation. It is set in a quiet close (culdesac) surrounded by rainforest and is very private. It isn't airconditioned, but has fans, which we had to turn off at night as it was getting too cold (during a Queensland wide heatwave, Jan 2024) . The location is fairly central to anything on the Tablelands.

In our opinion this place was brilliant in everyway. The accommodation was in the hosts garden. The hosts were excellent and the accommodation superb. There is an extensive garden around this property and it even has its own piece of rainforest running along side the accommodation. You can sit in the garden overlooking a creek which has Platypus and a good range of birds. The hosts provided fresh fruit, eggs and a range of cooking products. The kitchen area was excellent, as was the living area and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the shower over a bath was good. I would happily stay here again at anytime.

NetherlandsFor visitors who enjoy cooking, the kitchen could benefit from a big(ger) pot. The wifi signal is weak and unstable. It is maybe good enough for whatsapp messages, but not much more. This beautiful site is a place to disconnect from the Internet, not a place to connect.
Cozy studio, surrounded by a big garden, many large trees, and a true feeling of being surrounded by nature. We ate breakfast outside every morning, facing beautiful trees, in a very relaxing atmosohere. The hosts are very friendly, and their little dog is adorable! Beds are comfortable. We loved it!

AustraliaI liked the design & colours of the studio, alot ~ the furniture was really special ~ beautiful & unique ~ wooden pieces to take your breath away! I liked the bath ~ being able to have a bath is SO great, after driving so far, etc. It really is a game-changer. I liked the books, the pictures, all the features in fact ~ alot of care has gone into this place to make it a wonderful holiday experience. And the garden settings ~ the vegetable garden & fruit trees! It was so good to stay in such an abundant, thriving & healthy place ~ & to meet the friendly, knowledgeable & creative people who have created this space, including their excited puppy! It was also very peaceful & still at night, making it easy to actually sleep, properly. I loved it.

NetherlandsA small paradise! Set up in the huge garden of the lovely owners with tropical trees, a vegetable garden and a small creek. We woke up in the morning to the sounds of birds and watched colorful rainbow parakeets come to feed while having our coffee. What a treat! And at night we saw fireflies in the garden. The studio is cozy and the bed very comfortable. The location is also great, in the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. Very close to the property, we were lucky to see a tree kangaroo and a palatapus. Very short drive to Millaa Millaa waterfalls and Lake Eames if you want to go for a refreshing swim. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Such a perfect experience. Magical location, a cosy guest house surprisingly large full of beautiful polished wooden furniture hand made by one of the owners, set amongst rainforest and gardens filled with lots different species. Fire by the river down the back of the property while listening to wildlife and roasting marshmallows was lovely. Eggs from the chooks and chocolate biscuits on arrival was a nice touch provided by the owners Aden & Karena who were so lovely and accommodating. Looking forward to having another stay in the near future

AustraliaThe shower over the bath was a bit of a challenge - but manageable. For us a shower recess would have been more accessible.
The Studio is set in a lovely secluded bush setting with access to gardens and stream. It is fitted out with everything we required for a couple of nights' stay with hosts close by if needed. Saw some lovely birdlife.
