The bathrooms weren't very clean. Not having power sockets next to bed was really uncomfortable.

The location was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Being on the top of the bunk i wish i could chose to be on the bottom i fear i was making too much noise for my roomies going up and down from my bunk.

Kitchen was clean, the hostel was close to all amenities also. The common area was very nice too!

I stayed in a private room, everything clean and tidy! Bed was so comfy! Would recommend it to anyone staying there as a solo traveler. Nice room.

Window did not seal 100% so there was some (low) level of road noise. However, even on a Saturday night it wasn't too bad.

Location in the middle of Canberra city is superb. Easy walking distance to a wide selection of cafes, restaurants, etc. Basic room, but clean and comfortable, had everything for a 1 night stay. Staff were good at responding to my request of an extra blanket. Weekend car parking easy in the surrounding few blocks (however, would be trickier during the week).

Could be cleaner! Showers aren't cleaned well - (unused?) condom over the shower wall for the two days I was there suggests only periodic cleaning. Showers themselves grotty (tho not gross). Not filthy, but not really clean either. Kitchen crockery and utensils in short supply despite multiple cooktops and sinks - struggled to find a mug for breakfast, clean or dirty. Only wet and soapy sponges to wipe benches & tables, and struggled to find a clean or cleanish tea towel - like the bathrooms, the kitchen needs better cleaning. Having to carry my phone everywhere I went (as it unlocks the doors) was a hassle when I wanted to leave it to charge for a bit. Good thing I was carrying several battery packs!

The door to the bathrooms was slamming all night as people went in and out. Soft closing doors would have meant a better sleep.

Bathroom could be more clean and spacious. Staff could be more attentive and friendly - some demonstrated very minimum customer service skills. I also didn’t understand the purpose of the online check in if I needed to stand in a line to check in anyway.

Room has some rubbish in it from previous guests, one of the shower drains were clogged and started to flood the bathroom. Showers could have been a little cleaner but they weren’t extremely dirty. Bed was kinda uncomfy

The village hostel is a good company about accomodation. The kitchen was quite big and room also. Inside was very clean and the price is quite cheap for a hostel in Canberra.
