How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I can't think of anything which we would require that was missing.
We were two senior friends travelling around Tassie. The unit was two bedroom with lounge and kitchen, fully equipped. Easy access to local supermarket, pharmacy etc. The owners were on-site to assist with directions and recommendations. Laundry facilities were handy and our car was right beside the unit.. We felt warm and welcome. It was a short drive to Main st. and waterfront where we boarded our boat for the Gordon River Cruise.

Beds far too firm and pillows too, not a restful sleep.
Great location, close to shops and tourist attractions. Loved the little instructional laminated cards inside the apartment for tv, heater, bathroom. Sufficient towels, rugs etc, heater worked well. Cute little patio table outside too. Wonderful array of cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery.

Walking distance to Grocery store. locations for cruise and eating areas very close. Cooking facilities great and small detail of salt and pepper sachets were appreciated.

An extra recycling bin is needed in the disposal area of the property.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was conveniently supplied with crockery and utensils. Everything worked. There was plenty of space. There were thoughtful touches such as an airing rack (Strahan is a damp place!) and even a basket of Easter eggs!

The photos online do not do the apartments justice. This is without a doubt the cleanest holiday rental apartment we’ve ever stayed at. Owners Paul and Sharon keep the place beautifully. The rooms are big and comfortable. Laundry facilities are fantastic and we were able to wash the car too. Paul was very kind and offered great advice on what was around locally. We arrived on Easter Sunday to a lovely basket of Easter eggs in our room- a very thoughtful detail. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Paul and Sharon.

The scenery was fantastic and the service brilliant. We took lots of photos to take home and show the family. Our accomidation was very comfortable and relaxing, when came back. The food in Strahan was great.
We went on the cruise up the Gordon River 😎 then on the next day we did the train ride into the wilderness. Both days were amazing and very informative. We had great weather. 👍

Fantastic location in Strahan walking distance to main attractions and local supermarket Very clean, neat and tidy. Service was great Spacious apartment for a family and basics cooking facilities with bbq and laundry facilities Would definitely recommend and stay again!

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
Premises were easy to get to, close to the town and facilities. Owners were great, very friendly and helpful regarding activities and dining. Small number of units, all on ground level. Provided all the necessities that we needed, clean and spacious. Would go back there or recommend them to others.

Host was very friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to meet requirements of a group in other apartments when last minute requests for extra seating around BBQ area. Recommended local attraction which we acted on and thoroughly enjoyed.

Small town, seemed remote. No restaurants open on Christmas day nor stores. But I guess should have expected that ! No complaints actually.
Fantastic Location, Peaceful. Good facilities. Beach access, fantastic view from the beachfront cottages / decks. Seemed that it was private access. Very very good location.

Nothing to dislike
Easy walking distance to supermarket, pub, waterfront departures, cafes, restaurants, harbour. Comfy beds and great shower, well organised kitchen, parking outside the door, quiet, lovely hosts and plenty of space. Loved it.
