We have stayed at the Central Como on three previous occasions. Location is excellent, train station less than 10 minute walk away, carparking at reasonable rates, friendly staff, rooms are very clean and spacious with ample facilities, balcony, many restaurants and a couple of good bars (Scratch) in the area and only a 10 minute train ride to Southbank.

- traffic noise, day and night. Better soundproofing is needed, especially for the river-facing windows. - no grocery store within easy walking distance - would be nice to have basic staples in the kitchen, such as oil and vinegar and a few spices

It was advertised to have soundproof rooms which they were not you could hear people next door and outside with all doors still closed. We booked a king room with a balcony, thinking paying that extra would get us a room with a view that we got was a first-floor apartment that looked into the next door unit. This was not worth paying the extra money. Showering I had a cold shower, two out of the three showers I had whilst we stayed here.

Could have been cleaner and there isn’t a massive amount of convenient shops to pick up essentials you need to drive or walk.

Good location to get on the river cat into the different hot spots of the city. Parking very good and secure.

There is no grocery store in easy walking distance. The nearest store can be reached in twenty minutes by walking and bus. There is no usable frying pan in the unit we had. The nonstick frying pan was scratched badly and long past the stage where it is food safe. It would be nice if guests could leave staples like oil, vinegar and spices in the kitchen for future guests to use. We mostly kept the sliding doors closed because of the daytime noise outside. No issue at night.

Older, but nice and spacious apartment. New and comfortable furniture. So convenient to have a washer and dryer and clothesline in the unit. The river ferry stop is right across the street.

I am just being finicky, but dust around the corners and on floorskirt need a bit thorough vacuuming and wiping. Need to phone reception for after hours check in to locate the room key. It is quite straightforward however the hotel phone somehow didn't work so I had to use my oversea mobile. Only some rooms are riverview, should be made more specific in the booking page.

Location. Spacious. Kitchen with utensils. Microwave. Balcony. Spotless toilet. Housekeeper frequently replaces towels without having to ask. Extra coffee, tea, milk, sugar/salt available near reception desk.

Loved the location, easy access to city but in a great suburban shopping area, great coffee, cafes , Rosalie village a short walk.

Reception closed and was not staffed after 9pm leaving us to check in via telephone and check out by putting keys through the door which felt a little unusual as we are used to being able to ask staff questions etc upon arrival at hotels. Perhaps this is just something new to us but would have been great to see a friendly face upon our arrival! Also it was initially a bit confusing as the entrance to a Chinese restaurant was also accessed through the hotel lobby so we weren’t sure if we were in the right place and felt we were disturbing dinner guests by turning up with all our luggage.

Great location for accessing Brisbane and a good hotel for a great nights sleep with very comfortable beds. The rooms also had laundry facilities in which would be great for anyone staying for an extended period of time. We didn’t need to use these as we only stayed over night but were happy to see this!
