Nothing was happy about the hotel

The location of the Hotel was good. It was close to the city and to the train station. The room was clean and tidy. Tea and coffee were provided. There was an option to have room service with different types of foods. The tv worked and there was plenty of parking.

The room was very well appointed, clean, tidy. A/c was running already. Complimentary water in fridge. Convenient as I attended an event at the venue. Secure and noise was not an issue.

Well presented, clean room with comfortable beds and easy parking in the carpark out the back :) rooms are definitely sound proofed as we werent disturbed by any of the noise going on down at street level. Would definitely stay again!

The cleaners were there early talking loudly and letting the doors slam behind them. I understand they have to clean rooms for the next guest but as the rooms are so little you can hear absolutely everything they were talking about.

Note, no lift just stairs for those who maybe older or on their own & may not be able to walk up the stairs with their luggage. I had x2 luggage bags so had 2 flights of stairs to go up, one to enter the building from the carpark & stairs going up to the rooms which was fine with me as it was good exercise so I didn't mind. No biggie as I only stayed for one night but the TV channels had no signal so couldn't watch programmes but all good.

Free carpark and it was a big carpark located at the back of the building. Liked the security access to the rooms via your room swipe card only. Room was nicely renovated which you wouldn't have known due to the old pub that it's located in. I was glad staff member mentioned that rooms were renovated as I was a little hesitant when I saw that it was inside a pub. Room was clean and spacious which was great. Bed was really comfortable & also having x4 comfortable pillows was lovely. Bathroom was quite spacious too. Loved the rainforest shower & the little shelf to place body wash etc. Also like that the toilet was situated at one end of the bathroom & the shower at the other end. Sink/cupboard area in the middle which was good. Nice, spacious desk to work at. Location was good which was convenient to where I needed to go the next day.

Couldn't open or see out of the large bedroom windows as they have been permanently fogged over.

Staff in reception and pub (which is under the accommodation) were very friendly. The accommodation is well maintained with up to date furniture, lovely new bathroom, super comfy bed and large flat screen wall TV. Accommodation/ room was small, but if you just need a bed and bathroom then its perfect. The pub is in need of renovation unlike the accommodation which is very fresh.

Stairs!!! So many stairs and no lift. However the staff were helpful with carrying my suitcase.

The most disappointing thing is there is no lift. I got myself and a 22kg luggage, when I arrived the room on 3rd floor, I don’t wanna do anything that day. Nobody can help with the luggage. It was really frustrated and it’s not gonna be a good option if travel with luggages. The room is not soundproof. I can clearly hear any sound out at the lounge, and probably due to my room is just face to the storage room, I was woken every early morning by the housekeeper who started their work in the storage.

All the people are nice and friendly, and provided great service. The room is comfortable and equipped with all kinds of facilities.
