How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It was raining, so getting our luggage out of the car and parking area was a bit tricky. Although, if we had realised we could unload our luggage at the main entrance, which was undercover, there wouldn’t have been a problem.
Hotel and staff were pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, the cook/chef was extremely pleasant and cooked us a really tasty breakfast.

Hotel didn't have lift to the second floor.
It was comfortable and clean. Hotel would benefit with a lift to the second floor, however staff offered to help with luggage to the room.

The hill getting to the property, as we were walking.
For the price, I thought it was a bit dated, but it was ok, but will try and find another hotel next time as we were walking and the hill getting to the property was a little steep.

Unfortunately our neighbours were in and out of their room constantly for some unknown reason and the door was so loud closing -booming -every time. Was super annoying. The room smelled like someone had smoked in it which as a non smoker was very noticeable. The sheets on the bed were loud. Meaning they made a lot of crunching noises if you moved them. Which was irritating while trying to sleep. PS bring your own pillow - the ones provided are really thin and pointless. The bathroom door is a sliding door and closes toward the rooms front door - if the front door to the room is open (like when room service is delivered) you can see straight through the door crack to the toilet- badly designed.
Staff were cheerful and the room service was prompt and accommodating- the food was excellent-highly recommend.

I really can't fault this place
Love the location, love having the restaurant in the motel so it's easy for Tea and breakfast overall just the motel is great.

However, I feel it's important to mention that the cleanliness of the room didn't quite meet my expectations. While the ambiance is nice, the rooms could benefit from a bit of refreshing. Additionally, I was taken aback to find cigarette ashes in my cup as I was about to pour water for a drink, which was certainly a surprise.
"Food" The food was a highlight, absolutely excellent, offering a variety of delicious options that made each meal a joy. "Staff" The staff here are some of the loveliest I've encountered – very welcoming and warm from the moment I arrived

Lack of clothes storage such as drawers or shelves for clothes so need to live out of suitcase, hardly appropriate for a four star hotel. It rather reminded us of the cheap, basic Formula One €50 a night hotels in Europe
Excellent breakfast meal and dining room staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and always very pleasant. Room service staff were also very good, friendly and hard working

We stayed in room 119, the air-con made a horrible noise when it was on, was very hot and stuffy without it on during the night, but was unable to sleep with it on due to the noise.

Pool water was a little low and pool cleaner was left in the pool, made me a little nervous to let my son swim whilst the cleaning machine was still in the pool.
