Couldn’t fault the place, if anyone complains it’s their fault not the place and they’ve got rocks in their heads and would be people that you can never please.

Hidden away on a farm with roaming cows, surrounded by natural bush and looking over the river, with canoes supplied if you want a paddle and enjoy nature at it’s best.

The accommodation itself is getting a bit dated (without loosing the rustic nature) and could potentially do with a little bit of an update. Particularly we found the sofas a bit uncomfortable and not the best for relaxing.

Location is awesome and the staff were super friendly. Access to kayaks to paddle on the river was great. Some really nice locations for a sunset picnic and some down time.

Probably could have some extra amenities like basic bathroom things, soap, shampoo and conditioner. May in the items stocked some oil, salt n pepper the basics people would need so they don't have to pay excessive amounts for it in the town

I enjoyed the location and the peaceful property, the cows roaming around were a little worrisome at points but they didn't seem to be aggravated by people walking around. The fireplace was lovely and the view from the room.

The Caretaker or owner was rude and tried taking out 570 saying I had to pay again even though I had paid online with booking.com. He was so rude and horrible coming to the room all the time saying it was my problem to pay and fix it. They also don’t give you a room key so you can’t lock your doors but creepy after he was so horrible.then oven was not Properly put in and fell on my two-year-old luckily there was nothing hot on it. I would recommend staying somewhere else it was truly the most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had at accommodation.

    The cows are cute

The giant huntsman that greeted us when we got there... I heard the thing before I saw it.... (I understand this type of thing happens in rural Australia, but I have a phobia of spiders, and the question asked what I didn't like. 🙂) Didn't get much of a river view, as the grounds Infront of the river were overgrown. The road to get there was quite "potholey", didn't really do my back any good.

The bed was super comfy, the owners of the property were lovely... Very friendly!!

Because the units are carpeted it’s very hard to keep the floors clear of mud from the dog even though we washed his paws after walks so be prepared to pay the additional 50 for cleaning. Must admit we missed the vacuum cleaner which was apparently in the cupboard. It would have been great to have access to a gas BBQ on the balcony.

Location is fabulous right on the river. Fantastic place to take your dogs with plenty of walks available. Provided extra towels for dogs after the inevitable swimming.

The Air-conditioner is too small and just cant keep up. When we were there it was in the mid 30s, and it was quite uncomfortasble inside in the middle of the day. I think this is a great Winter, Autumn and Spring get-away.

The Location is beautiful, the houses are lovely and really spread out for privacy. Everything you would need is there including a washer machine. I was really impressed with the many little things they have thought of.

Only one bbq on premises and was banned from use, would have been nice to have a bbq on the deck of the chalet to make use of the nice location. Furniture was a little small and uncomfortable (couches and outdoor chairs). No keys provided for chalets so couldn’t lock up, had to lock our valuables in the car which wasn’t great.

Canoes included were a highlight. We made use of them and the river. Air con worked really well. clean space

The bed was small. I feel like main bedroom beds need to be a queen minimum and no aircon? It’s the middle of summer and it gets hot.

Location was amazing. It was clean, tidy and spacious. There was lots to do also. It was nice too to have no reception.

a] Should have double-checked the distance from Walpole where we had intended to stay -> cabins are some 17 km distant, deep in the forest, at the end of a rutted dirt road - which we had to navigate in pouring rain. b] Weather was wet & very cold, and although the slow-burn heater was inviting - the provided kindling was damp & slow to light -> resorted to the air-con which was only marginally effective c] Despite it being advertised as 'included', no breakfast was provided.
