A wonderful surprise close to the long beaches of Wood Gate

Hubby rolled me out of bed. LOL

The camping ground was a pleasant surprise. Lovely parklands with lots of room for bikes and the kids to go wild. Movies at night. Well looked after and supplies for camp fires, The lovely family are so helpful. Great park for a big family get together or youth group camp.

Couldn't fault it. It's not a nice air-conditioned motel or hotel room but great for a clamping experience. The fact we could pull up and the kids just go and run a muck while we have a beer and prepare dinner with a full kitchen next to the tent we will be back.

After droving most the day from Airlie was a perfect stop with the kids to get out of the car and explore. Was clean, toilets were portaloos but very clean. Shower was clean and hot water. only regret not bringing a fishing rod to try and catch a Barra

The host was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a bell tent and the kitchen they had outside the tent had everything you’d need for your stay. The airbed was very comfortable and the bed was made when we got there. We only stayed one night but would have like to have stayed more.

Even though it is a long way from the highway, the road noise woke me in the middle of the night. Also the bed was very cold - the cold came up from below.

Friendly and welcoming, spotlessly clean, beautifully lit with fairy lights. Everything provided for cooking, relaxing.

    Nothing

The glamping tents are spacious and well set out. They include a camp kitchen with esky and ice, stove, drinkable water, fire pit, wood, table, chairs, shade, clothes airer, lanterns, a powerbank for charging devices, blankets and mattresses. The are multiple port-a-loos around the property, kept clean and stocked. There are also hot showers hooked up to (non-drinkable) water and gas so they are hot, not cold. There is a dam with fish, we did not catch any, but not because they were not there :) This is an unpowered camp, so there is no power and internet is patchy to non existent - but that is part of the point, to get away from hustle and bustle to nature.

Where we were situated was too close to the campers behind us & they were not impressed by the noise we made including when opening car door or zipping up the tent. Their negative derogatory comments towards my parenting & my children made me leave early on our second night instead of staying the night we paid. This affected our stay & I only wish their was more privacy & space from that lot of campers considering their was very little staying at the Nature Camp at the time of our one-two night stay. If these people are part of the camp management, I would not recommend to anyone to stay here, however if they were only passer-through travellers I would highly recommend this Nature Park to camp at. Also I believe that Buddy (Managers dog) needs to be kept well away from Campers with pets, especially as he is not desexed.

Everything about the Glamping set-up including the self-sufficient kitchen, dining table, chairs, camp kitchen, everything provided, Matt (Camp manager at the time of our stay) went above & beyond.

We did not like the air mattress 100%. The cold from the ground came through and that was beginning of April. In Winter we would be needing a mattress topper.

Very clean and quiet Bush camp. Even the bush toilets smelled nice. The managing couple were very friendly, helpful and pet friendly.

Great location, even access to the Woodgate beach is 30min drive away. Mat and his wife are great hosts and little Charlie also a great character. We forgot our pillows, even he bought some for us in our second day. Kids love the night nature walk and it's good for adults as well :) Definitely, I'll visit them again in future.

The double blow up mattress wasn't comfortable for both myself and my husband. Single mattresses would have been better.

The adventure feel for my family.
