Rooms were absolutely freezing at night with no option to control air con. Only given a thin sheet to sleep with no warmth. No lockers for valuables. Bathroom was okay but showers were extremely unclean, lots of hair everywhere and shower curtains were mouldy and smelled like urine. Room had no window also felt like a prison cell.

I liked the views and the rooftop and the games and the free coffee. Air fryer in kitchen was handy also!

The hostel is a bit ran down, the lobby is without aircon. The kitchen and rooms were not very clean, I was in my room when house keeping came in to hoover, she stood on her phone in the room rather than hoover then left. The showers were clogged up with hair and there were only 4 plugs in a 6 person dorm. The plugs were situated behind the head of one of the bottom bunks meaning it was really difficult to charge your phone. On the last night the aircon was broken in the room, 6 adults without aircon in the middle of Australian summer was hell. I would not stay there again despite the price.

Other patrons are not tidying up their area, especially the ones who stay on the lower bunkbed, they make a lot of mess on the floor.

Everyrhing is good, the location, which is close to Roma Station, the top has city views, the staff are really accomodating, and everywhere, it is clean.

The room looked like a prison, it was tiny, it smelled, the bed wasnt comfortable. We were staying for 3 days and housekeeping came into our PRIVATE room every single morning. There was no saying no thank you we dont need housekeeping during our stay, absolutely no chance and also not possible to tell the housekeepingstaff because they were working in "waves" so one person takes all the sheets, next does new sheets etc, so you would have to say no thank you 5 times. The kitchen was dirty and there were pigeons everywere.

1) I had a late check in and the office was closed when I arrived, I'm fine with that if they had a night phone, which they didn't, as I arrived so late I wasn't able to get an Aussie SIM card, so I couldn't ring their mobile number and had to wait for some drunken backpacker to stumble in to use his phone. 2). The room had no A/C or ceiling fan, not to mention the windows were sealed shut so the room was a sauna/sweatbox. 3) the other guest's in the room had food, empty bottles and clothes all over the place, there a few other disappointing things, but these were the main points of dissatisfaction.

My belongings were lost twice. The refrigerator system should be improved. However, bunk beds need to be checked and replaced frequently. Collapse of beds may occur.

I’ll be honest. Somebody stole my power charger from my laptop ( MacBook pro) I was very disappointed due to the reception because they Found the guy and the room and they did not talk to him, I left the hostel and then couple times I came back to say if there’s a solution but nothing happened,I thought at least would be some sort of compensation or something because of my charger due to they knew who stole it, I’ve felt very disappointed, that’s why I understood why so many people leave that hostel, to many backpackers doesn’t like the politics. I hope for the next backpackers can get a good experience about it, in my case it wasn’t. I wanted to stay longer but cause of this I left.

Perfect for long or short term since for its location 5 minutes from train station and ten 10 minutes walking from CBD. Staff at the reception are all very friendly and the all the amenities seems to work well. Spot on!

I arrive at the room and find there are two weed smoking French guys there who it turns out are working for the hostel. The next day i get woken up by hearing another staff member yelling at one of the guys in my room, saying he is fired and has to move out because he is smoking weed and also selling drugs in the hostel. A few moments later I get up from bed and notice my jacket is gone (very expensive suede jacket). Then the other staff (or rather guest who is staying there for free in exchange for cleaning etc), talking about how he has lost 50 dollars. I tell him my jacket is gone and he offers to help me find it, though he doesn't exactly seem concerned. Then he leaves and I go to the reception and tell them about what happened. I then go back to the room and now the staff guy mentions his lost money again, only now he said it was 150 dollars! Oh well. So the staff member from reception explains to me about the other guy who is in my room and being kicked out. Said "he is having a bad day because he just got fired and kicked out". He asks th guy to show the contents in his bag in order to find my jacket. It's not there. Anyway so I take a shower (which were horrible dirty as was the room) and decide to check out early. I ask the guy in the reception for a refund and he agreed to refund the unused night. Then he offered to show the lost and found bin to look for my jacket and whoaaa there it was! So I actually got the jacket back. I believe the French guys were conspiring to steal stuff, put it in the lost and found in case an issue like this (or the police get involved) arises. Either that or my persistence made them put it there. Kudos to the staff member who gave me a refund and showed me the lost and found but having said that, this is a dirty dirty hostel with guests who work for their accommodation due to not having money and apparently steal stuff from other guests.

The location is pretty good. The staff was helpful in giving me a refund for the second night after I checked out early because of how horrible my experience there was.
