Quiet and comfortable cabins (only 4) Beautiful grounds that are immaculately kept. Great facilities and thoughtful additions. Short drive to Old Bar beach or Taree. Great value.

Mosquitos seemed to resist Bushman’s!!

The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable with amazing attention to detail and provision not only of essentials but anything that might enhance your stay. For example- mosquito coils; wood fired pizza oven and extensive barbecue area; outdoor games for kids-cricket, badminton, basketball etc; rec facilities including home cinema, pool table; table tennis table; great coffee. I could go on further. The venue made us all feel like a home away from home and we will surely be back. Thanks Leanne and Chad for a truly hospitable and wonderfully relaxed time.

We stayed 1 night only to break our trip back to Sydney from the Gold Coast. It was summer (Xmas holidays) and unfortunately mosquitos were prevalent at this location. The manager warned us of this on our arrival and provided personal insect repellent in the rooms. This may not be an issue for some but was a little dampener for us. May not be a problem if visiting in cooler months.

Accommodation in stand alone 2 bedroom cabins which were immaculately clean and tidy. We had 2 cabins. Property was very well maintained. Onsite recreation room, pool and communal barbecue/eating area all lovely. Quiet, leafy setting but only 5 minutes drive from Old Bar shopping area and beach. Beds very comfy. Shower unit in our cabin was small but incorporated a small bath at base for a child. Our other cabin provided access for disabled and had a larger walk-in shower. We had a very nice dinner at the local club.

A beautiful cabin which is recently renovated and is very comfortable. So quiet and you will be waken by all kind of birdsong. As a bonus, there is a nice swimming pool. Close to Old Bar which is a nice little town.

Nothing we didn't like. Phone reception is not great out there in that area depending on your phone carrier.

Only a short drive into town and beach. Beautiful property, perfect for families/kids to explore. Cottages really comfy and very clean, everything you need is provided. Salt pool, heated spa, games room and awesome outdoor kitchen/BBQ area with everything you could possibly need available to use. All the little details for your comfort and convenience has been thought of. Hosts are lovely people.

I liked everything!

The manager was fantastic - friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was pristine. Facilities were amazing. Outdoor kitchen was a real surprise - could not believe how well stocked and clean it was!. The grounds were extensive with lots of games for the kids.

It was quiet and in the morning it was wonderful to hear all the birds in the trees. It was very clean and comfortable . The cottage had a fireplace which made the night very cosy. The outdoor pool and bbq area was superb. The security was very good.

Chiltern Lodge was lovely, the facilities were great, the cottage was well equipped, and the fireplace made the place lovely and cosy. The staff were awesome, even offering to help unhitch our trailer in the dark with us.

We absolutely loved our stay. The villas and outdoor areas were well appointed immaculately kept and presented. The entertaining area/games room was amazing with every detail thought of and covered. The kids enjoyed the games/activities on offer, animals and spa. We all enjoyed the open fireplace and the overall tranquil serenity. Definitely a great place to retreat and recharge. Nothing was an issue and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating - even when we decided to stay an extra night. The thought, love and care the owners have put into the retreat shows.

I was very happy with Chiltern.

A great little find, not far off the M1. I expected a little room as a pit stop on our drive, but this was a little retreat, complete with balcony…I only wish we had more time to stay and visit the animals, sit by the fire and use all of facilities.

Having to leave after only one night

Our second stay in this great little spot and it was just as good. Really enjoyed the pool after a hot day and the spa pool later in the evening. The BBQ area is amazing and spotlessly clean. Will stay again whenever I am in this area.

There was nothing that we didn't like, all our needs were met.

Beautiful location in a national park, friendly host, very comfy, clean and tidy 2 bedroom cabin with air con and fans, fireplace. It was super quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Loved the pool & spa, has a really nice undercover outdoor BBQ area and recreation room, awesome place to stay for a relaxing getaway. Cute farm animals, tracks to explore, short drive into the town Old Bar for restaurants and supermarket. Will definitely return, highly recommend.

Absolutely everything. The pool and spa area is amazing, all the animals. The rooms itself are beautiful. it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere in a rainforest retreat! Absolutely loved out stay and the owners are lovely lovely people. Look forward to coming again!

Having to leave early the next day! Next time I'll stay for longer.

Such a lovely spot in the trees, well away from the road and traffic. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The pool was large and gorgeous and the spa was an added bonus that was lovely in the evening. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well appointed with a large fridge. The double bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep in the quiet of the bush.

Over the years we have stayed at well over 300 different places in both Australia and overseas. All up, THIS WAS THE BEST! The location is sup;erb, the staff were friendly and considerate of our needs as disabled persons. The setting was magnificanct, and the amenities. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back!

I loved everything about the property, unfortunately I was busy to take advantage of what was on offer during my stay.

The property is private, in the middle of nowhere (State Forest), so no traffic noise, or people in the area that shouldn’t be there, it’s in between Taree and Old Bar which is suitable for people that are looking for inland lake, or the beach. The host Vicki was fantastic very accommodating, as well as very helpful and caring. The cottage I choose was great for a solo, couple, family traveller/s, awesome place for a girls weekend away.
