The room was way bigger than we expected it to be, and because we had some issues checking in, the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade to a larger ensuite room! We were pleased with the nice little surprise.

Room telephone did not work and no one came to fix it. Housekeeping did not come every day, which is fine, but you need to let people know that is the case. The common areas - restaurant, lounge, bar, etc... are being renovated and there is no place to meet anyone for a chat. The gym is very small and is often full to capacity in the morning. There were problems with the ground level door entry and we often had to ring the reception and wait to be let in. I was told this was because of the severe rain.

The hotel is being renovated, which is good and bad. The rooms were brand new and very comfortable.

There was no info given about how things worked in the room or what was going to happen. We had checked in on the 9/3 separately and left a on the 14/3 as planned in that time there did not appear to be any regular cleaning or linen change to happen, unfortunately the tech told the wrong thing and in spite of us talking to the housekeeping staff earlier nothing was done. Eventually we got clean towels but the bathroom had not been cleaned during our stay.We renewed our Tea and coffee supplies from reception as needed. There is many tech pieces of equipment eg requests for service etc that were not explained or operational instructions given. There was no tourist info given or available in the rooms or at the hotel, we found the train line after a walk around. The hotel is in a business area and was very quiet and almost deserted on Saturday night some info from the hotel would have been helpful. I’m thinking it may be a new hotel so hopefully it will improve or maybe my expectations are to much.

It was clean on arrival On the day we checked out Rita was extremely helpful with luggage storage and the offer of bathroom facilities before we left for the airport. Once we found our way around it was a good location.

Room carpet was wet on arrival (8pm) and remained so until I checked out. Light buttons only at door.

Only a very minor criticism, but having booked a twin room for two nights we expected twin beds. We checked in in the late afternoon and nobody was available from housekeeping to split the king bed already made up in our room. Another room was provided at no charge so each of us had a seperate bed for the first night. The beds were split and made up the following morning

The aircon was set to 15 deg when I arrived & was REALLY slow at increasing the temp, even though it was set for 24 deg. The room was quite small. Perfectly fine for one, but a couple would have found it tight
