Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe location is great for me, I can walk there and back to the office if I choose to or grab a tram. The rooms are a bit small and a bit tired but have always been great quality for the price. Unfortunately, the prices have bumped up a bit lately and I can stay somewhere a little nice $40 cheaper per night I just have to go a couple of tram stops further. When you are self funded for your travel that $40 makes a difference.
Always easy check in and the staff are great.

AustraliaThis visit was really disappointing. I had worked a 10 hour day and just wanted an early dinner, to watch the news etc and early to bed. This visit the tv was not working. I called reception at 5.45 and was told I would have to wait until up to 8-8.30pm for someone to check the tv as only one person was on duty in reception. I took the remote downstairs and confirmed batteries were okay (despite unit being held together by sticky tape). I was not at all happy and could not use work laptop due to complex firewalls. In addition the windows in this particular room were rattling non stop with the vibration of the building air-conditioning (which was not on full pelt). The noise was non stop and I would not stay in this room 715 every again. Eventually TV was fixed by person standing on the room bench and reaching behind to turn tv on and off and resetting it. This was earlier than 8-8.30 and after I sent a complaint by email through Booking.com. Passive aggressive attitude came for free. No response was received from my complaint email.
Regular visitor and I generally know what to expect. Rooms are clean and generally in good order.

AustraliaSome "interesting" customers visit here on the weekends, thanks probably due to the club upstairs. If you are after a quiet night's sleep, look elsewhere. The walls are thin and you can hear everything going on. I had an altercation with the guest behind me, which was quite frightening. I turned on the TV and he immediately started banging on the walls behind me.
Very convenient and close to the conference I was attending, so the logical choice. Car parking on site is helpful. Staff clearly do their best here with what they have to work with. Security guard from the club upstairs was very helpful and friendly. Room was quite well equipped and comfy.

AustraliaThere's a large number of steps leading up to the reception with no way of getting in other than carrying my very heavy case. There was no one to assist. I'm an age pensioner and had to ask a passing stranger to help me. This info needs to be provided prior to arrival. Same occurrence when I left. Also, there's a noisy nightclub on the first floor, which I wasn't advised of. Despite that, I was there on a Thursday because it was a public holiday the "music" from the club ricocheted until the early hours.of the next morning.

AustraliaThe noise from the Nightclub/or bar. It was soooooooo loud. The constant “doof! Doof!” Sound of the music. I kept checking to see that a window wasn’t open! And it was constant well after midnight!! You need to do more with sound proofing your rooms!
Location to Southern Cross Station, and able to get an early checkin. The price was very good and our room was very clean and comfortable!
