We loved the communal garden the complex shares .lots of beautiful trees and colourful birds 2 balcony's 1 on each end of the appartment.all in all a great stay

Clothes airing rack was broken and placed on the balcony.

Great location, nice unit, comfortable bed. Easy walk to shops, many great cafes and restaurants. Parking free with the booking and secured. Able to cook in the apartment, balcony and good size bathroom. Fully self contained.

Perhaps some information in the accommodation would have been beneficial. Even a map of the area describing what was around would have helped.

The location was central to all things that we wanted to visit in Canberra. We did not have a car - most attractions were within walking distance.

Only thing would be to have two keys instead of just the one.

Had to ask the cleaner about using the lift once the access card was left behind after leaving the keys and card in our room on checkout. The printed sheet "Phoenix Appartments" under the heading "Keys on Departure" did NOT mention that one could use the lift without a tag if you were going to "UG" (the foyer) and only the UG! This lack of information caused me some anxiety. The help phone ONLY took messges after hours. The curtains in both the bedroom and living room were off the lead runners and therefore the curtains would not close proerly. A box of facial tissues had to be requested

Management were most cooperative and pleasant when we needed to change from an appartment accessible only by flights of stairs. A leak in the HW storage tank was attended to promptly

City Style Apartments allocates their guests to one of their 50 apartments across 18 different buildings. I found out which apartment I was allocated to with less than 24 hours notice. The location did not suit me and I did not have enough time to cancel without penalty and book elsewhere. I was told that I should have informed staff about my preferences earlier. In their defence, they do say that they will allocate you to whichever apartment is available in their fine print. I think that this should be more obvious. They should call their business 'Mystery Apartments' because you just don't know where you will end up. The communication with staff was generic and unsympathetic. They provided me with the wrong entry code to get into the building. The apartment was very dusty around the skirtings and window sills. I wiped things down because I did not want to live in the dust for four days. The blinds are very dusty and should be replaced.

I was 'allocated' an apartment on Allara Street. The apartment was very quiet, spacious and had everything I needed. The mezzanine arrangement was very pleasing and the courtyard was sunny. The apartment block was quiet and opposite the Canberra pool and within easy walking distance to the lake.

One of the light bulbs in the bathroom didn’t work so it was very dark. Another light in the lounge didn’t work either, no condiments, dirty frypan in the cupboard, instructions to access the property weren’t very accurate

Airconditioner in main living area was noisy. No parking reserved or 5 minute only parking for customers arriving and needing to collect key from drop box. No parking available to drive car out then return to the apartment to leave the key. Had to park on the nature strip then return key to apartment.

Spacious apartment. Quiet location. Comfortable bed. Close walking distance to Casino where we had dinner on two evenings. Pleasant view from main living room and bedroom. Handy to use the washing machine, clothes airer and ironing board all located in the apartment.

There were a few stains on the carpet and couch. Check-in wasn't a good experience without the help of staff or a help number to call. The heater blew out air but the fan was broken and needed to be held up with tape.

Location was great, a short walk from restaurants, cafes and shops. Nice and quiet apart from some traffic nosie, but that's to be expected in the city centre. Apartment has its own dishwasher, kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Everything was neat and clean.
