Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location remote but that’s obvious if booking mountain stay. Host was very friendly and welcoming and had left us down home made pasta. We ate out at the pub that night though so didn’t eat it. Great spot for glamping. Terrible rain when we were there which made moving the car difficult and a very slippery path down to the hut so be prepared for that if the weather is bad. Bathroom out the back is a long drop bit clean and wel equipped for glamping… Bed very comfortable and had a bath with amazing views and bath salts provided by the host, very special. Would recommend.

PortugalThe bathroom is really simple and very rustic. Although its beautiful is also very natural and has obviously wild life (spiders)
The facilities like bed, bathtub, kitchen and DVD on the windows are great. The vibe is great, the patio and the outside firepit

AustraliaThe facilties were fine and clean. A frypan for the kitchen would be a good addition. The screen projector audio needed a work around, an appropriate cable would resolve this issue.
The Host made a special tailorer dinner for us. They were extremelyu helpful with our queries and requests while staying in the Safari Tent.

AustraliaI wasn’t prepared for the shower and compost toilet out the back of the room but it made for an interesting change.
A perfect location and the owners were extremely helpful including providing a cooked meal. The accommodation was different from your everyday regular hotel room and made for a fun change. So quiet and peaceful which was a great way to relax.

AustraliaBirds can be loud in the morning but that's all part of being amongst nature!
Amazing views from the property. The bathtub was great! The host Wilson is very friendly and his wife had kindly prepared pasta for your dinner! I saw wallabies and lots of different birds from the property. Dedicated parking spot. There's a projector with lots of DVDs available and games for entertainment - note there is no wifi.

United Kingdom- The place has changed somewhat since the initial pictures were taken. Not a dig at all as we still really enjoyed our stay, but they had cut all the tree's down and the pictures show a really nice view, whereas in reality it all grown back and the view is obstructed. There is no path anymore and a little bit difficult to access. The stone path in the picture has completely gone and it's just grass with bushes overgrowing. It doesn't truly look as clean and well maintained as the pictures anymore. - I'm not sure if it specifies it in the listing but the toilet is an eco-compostable one, which has a bit of a 'natural' smell, but the shower and sink is in there too, so it's not particularly inviting to shower in there whilst holding your breath. Appreciate that it is natural, but toilet could have been separated from the rest. - Taps are a bit loose and wobbly on both the bath and the sink in the kitchen. - Place just needs a bit of a general deep clean/update. Not complaining, we still loved our time here!
- The guy who checked us in was lovely and very accommodating. - His wife had made us a home-cooked meal and they supplied a bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch. We only didn't eat it as we had brought so much food with us already. - The location was beautiful and peaceful. Lots of birds and animals around. Saw wallabies and peacocks and all sorts of birds we hadn't seen before. - Nice that there was no internet, could fully switch off. - The views and surroundings were lovely. - We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay!

AustraliaIt is important to know in advance that the bathroom is VERY rustic with a compost toilet and open shower in an adjoining tin roof room attached to the tented room. It was home to a few creepy crawlies, which makes sense in the space that it was. Everything works fine but would have been nice to have a little more warning that this is what the facilities are - maybe I just missed that though. The entry door to the bathroom is also very narrow so larger occupants may have a little difficulty. The classic 4 poster bed is a nice touch but the antique & romantic nature of it was a little offset by how loud it squeaked with any movement. The walk from the car space to the start of the decking was quite uneven with a grassy slope that was overgrown for much of it with (very pretty) birds of paradise plants that had to be waded through in a few spots - definitely leave the high heels and rolling luggage at home!
Excellent privacy and lovely location, bath was wonderful overlooking the valley and the kitchenette/BBQ made staying in super easy - pasta and a vegetarian sauce was left in the fridge for us but we had brought BBQ food having seen one in the pics. Basic utensils, some pantry items and full cutlery/crockery/glassware was all provided. Was wonderful for a private getaway away from the world - we saw/heard no-one from when we were shown to the room by the friendly staff to when we left. We will absolutely be staying again as the good definitely outweighs the downsides.

AustraliaWhile the views were breath taking, from the balcony, there were a lot of trees obstructing most of it, so the pictures provided doesn't show that. In saying that, the host suggested we went to Flying Bean café up the road the following morning, which we did, and were provided with the incredible views of Beechmont. It's not a terrible thing, the privacy feeling was great though nonetheless.
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. The hosts were great, the bath tub, projector and the comfortable bed made it all worth the overnight stay. My partner and I appreciated the nice touch of dinner that was provided to us.

AustraliaBathroom! I am fine with compost toilets generally but the smell of this one was not nice at all. And I can handle a smelly toilet. But shower was right next to it! I couldn't bring myself to take a shower in that smell. For the price I paid, I would have preferred a better setup.
The bed, the views, the bath tub:) Bed was super comfortable and cosy. The greenery around the tent was spectacular and it was nice to wake up to the birds. Taking a bath/shower with that view was pretty special.

Australianothing 😊
The luxury tent was beautifully situated on the property with beautiful views of the mountains/nature, the little boardwalk leading down to the tent really created the safari vibe. The owners/hosts of the property are such beautiful people who even made pasta sauce and left it in our fridge, which made it perfect for us who didn’t want to drive at night to get food. Honestly such a beautiful experience that I would love to come back and visit. Also loved having a bath with a view.

AustraliaI didn't like how dirty it was and how many insects and spiders were in the bathroom, it's clear that the bathroom and outside areas have not been maintained. I also didn't lile how dusty the inside was. For over $300 a night, professional cleaning services should definitely have been used.
I liked the location and the glamping vibe, our host was also very nice and the complimentary pasta dinner was also a pleasant surprise.
