How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

the parks too spread out, long hike to pool, restaurants etc for someone in my situation. room gave us cooking utensils, however there was no where to was any plates, glasses etc. i felt bad leaving the washing up behind.
great room for disabled person ( I’m semi disabled) very clean and comfy

no elevators at all, I’m disabled. the hotel has a hostel feel to it, not a 3 star hotel.
location was great, big rooms with modern decor too.

The room set up was weird - no coffee table or side lamps, seemed to lack furniture & difficult to put luggage anywhere. The sink & pantry is in the laundry , but the fridge is in the front bedroom/tv area...really strange.

Lack of washing machines, there were two or three not working
Our entire stay was good, housekeeping came in daily and the staff were very helpful and friendly

It was unfortunate there had been a fire in the kitchen so the restaurant offerings for dinner was very limited. Being on the edge of town meant we had to drive out for a meal.
Our room was spacious and it was nice and quiet. The bed was comfy and everything nice and clean. The pool was a great place to relax

Main restaurant was closed. WiFi was hard to connect to some times.

The water pressure in the shower wasn’t very good. Had trouble with room key late at night but there was a lovely overnight supervisor who helped us
Very quiet, close to beautiful Lee point beach which is great for long walks. Room was very clean.

The kitchen was closed due to an incident and so there was no food offering for a hotel quite some distance from the nearest food locations. You required a car to stay here. The airport shuttle was not operating.
Hotel room was great although an oven would have been useful in addition to the cooktop and microwave

Breakfast buffet was very average, not worth $20 No water pressure at all, unless in a villa, no light or tap at the Bbq area
The resort was really nice and spacious. Beds were very comfy. Villas were lovely(upgraded for 1 night)

The only negative was the tea making facilities - minimal teabags, milk etc were supplied

I requested some ice at reception from the restaurant for a cold drink, however, they could not supply any. The female staff member did advise that I could go next door to the caravan park and buy a 5kg bag for $3.50. I did buy a bag from next door however since I was only staying one night I had a lot of ice left which went to waste. I was only after some ice for a few drinks.
Clean rooms and good facilities. Close to woolworths and other shops.
