Our room was generous in size and comfort. It opened directly on to an extensive open area - lawns, trees, water, hammocks and birds - with two comfortable chairs to take it all in. Because it is a bit away from town, it was quiet and the nights were magical with the sounds of the water and breeze in the trees. The very best was that I muddled our reservation and showed up a day early and the front of house staff was kind and accommodating beyond my expectations.

I informed you I had a mobility problem and needed a downstairs room, we were given a downstairs room, but unfortunately, I had to climb down 5 steps to get to it and the same five to get out, and no handrails, I injured both hands over the days.

The grounds lake and scenery is perfect.

The motel is more like a hotel and seems to be set up more for business conferences than family stays. The turn into the site is easy to miss being right on a rise on Princes Highway

The room was clean and comfortable. Our unit overlooked the excellent swimming pool. The location was good being just over the bridge from the shops and restaurants and a short, walkable distance from a nice beach.

the food i had from the restaurant...KFC chicken. was expecting some nice boneless pieces of chicken and a small side of chips...but all i received was 4 chicken wings and salad (you don't make friends with salad)..$20.00 is a bit much for a few small wings. probably won't be eating at the Restuarant again. the Catalina club is the winner for me in Batemans bay area. great menu and food is big portions,

the a/c system cut as you leave the room... it was super-hot when stayed and was annoying when leaving the room for 30ins the a/c would switch off. over all a very nice place and i will return for sure. the conditioner was empty in the bathroom, i send an email but didn't get a response. good choices of craft beer behind the bar :)

Although not a big issue, when driving back from Batemans Bay town in the dark it was difficult to see exactly where the entrance to the resort was. We overshot and had to turn round further along in the road. One extra thing to check is the closing time of the main office; the information from Booking.com showed 9pm but on Monday - the day we arrived - it was actually 6pm.

Very clean, quiet and well equipped room. Friendly staff. Although the resort was next to the main road, there was very little traffic at night so we didn't hear any noise from the road. The surrounding grounds were very well kept and gave a nice feel to the place.

Two things that really annoy me about being 'trendy' in accommodation and it's all to do with lighting. I found the lighting in the bathroom quite weak, but my real issue was with the bedside lighting, I had to actually get out of bed to turn the lights off. They are way too high on the wall to turn off in my opinion. Might be ok for a 6'5" bloke but not a 5'4" woman. Bring back the bedside lamp!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, and we enjoyed the location. Loved the gazebo and little outside lounge area overlooking the lagoon complete with ducks and swans swimming around. Dinner at Briar's was also very nice.

Just felt quite a lot older than the images portrayed it to be. Property needs a refresh. Pool didn't live up to the photo expectations and you can't swim in it after 8pm.
