How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing really.
Straight away it felt homely. It was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Location was great and it was very quiet at night time. We loved the friendly cat Socks that lives on the property and came to visit. Easy walking distance to the beach or lake and even walked into town. Would recommend Como Lodge, well done.

Reading lamp in lounge was not available. The reverse cycle air conditioner did not heat to our requirements. The beds were too firm. Shower was squealing and could have dangerous following the instructions for usage.

Excellent location , walking distance to the lake and shops !! Owner is a legend and super friendly! Doesn’t mind noise and has a rescue cat socks that loves keeping the guests company. The rooms have everything you need !

Nothing really to note... Walk to shopa just over a km which may not suit all...but for beach access only couple hundred metres. And flat... apartment is lovely. But also upstairs to this may also not suit some
Bed lovely, spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast. Close to beach, great fish and chippy around the corner.

Its in among other buildings so dont expect views
Good location for a relaxed break, close to a couple of cafe's & beach. Easy to access with a car. Short, scenic walk to centre of town. Nice size for 2-4 people. Good wifi, shower, washing machine in unit, good sized TV. No noise from neighboring units

A blind to better cover the outside light in the front bedroom would be beneficial as it was too light during the night. This has been discussed with the manger of the property who ensured that this would be followed up
Como Lodge was close to beach and a wonderful cafe. It was also only a short walk to town. The property had everything we needed for a great stay.

Excellent location, a few minutes walk to the main beach, coffee shop and play park for kids. The property was very clean, the owner was very friendly and helpful with local knowledge, it was the perfect place for our stay.

Loud percussion noise on hot water tap in shower.
Great location in a quiet part of fishpen. Everything you need is supplied. I only had to bring my coffee machine, although a cafe is just around the corner.

There wasn’t anything we particularly didn’t like. If I could suggest a couple of things, it would be to have a few more towels provided for a lengthier stay. There was mould in the shower grouting and drain hole
The kitchen was full with everything you needed. The toaster tripped the switch a couple of times, so we discontinued to use and changed to the grill. Beds were really comfy The location was perfect for what we needed. Dean was friendly and we liked our visitor Socks or Sox the ginger tabby.

We were not provided the wifi info, it doesn't matter to us bcuz we have lots of mobile data but for those who doesn't want to use their own data this thing might bothersome.
The place was super comfortable and clean. It was very close to the beaches and shops/ restaurants. All the beds were amazing, clean and comfortable. Kitchen and fridge were clean, and all the dishes and cooking pots were available.
