The Female manager was rude and unhelpful. The pool was too dirty to use. The BBQs were dirty.

The room was tidy and clean. The male manager was friendly and helpful. The patio looked out on the gardens.

It's basically a backpackers not a motel. Towels & bed linen not very clean, there was sand in the bed sheets. Bed very short in length & curtains did not block out outside lights that were on all night. No power points for phone charger etc. Was a TV but no remote so no way of turning on. There was a jug & iron but no powerpoint or cups. One set of cultery despite booking for a couple. Community shower & toilet was clean but very old.

Shower mouldy, drive to main area Cooktown, sad guard dog chained up, mainly hostel so has communal kitchen but no detergent, knives etc or loo paper in communal bathroom. Feels rundown. Expensive for what it is.

Getting charged over $50 for my youngest son to sleep on the floor is not acceptable. He didn't get a mattress or pillow either so he had to try and sleep on the wooden floor with nothing like a dog. I will never recommend Booking.Com or the Cooktown Motel to anyone. We didn't stay on Thursday night because my other son couldn't sleep on the floor again. VERY UNHAPPY 😭

While the room was acceptable in every way, there were numerous biting small ants on the bedding.

A simple bed for the night and ensuite facilities. The Motel staff were very helpful and accomodated a special parking request.

This motel was not what we asked for in booking and is not suitable for 85 year olds. The toilets are separate from rooms and up flights of steps. The car was parked a long way away another problem. This is a younger persons motel and the facilities for back packers and young tourists are perfect and it has a huge community kitchen.

The manager of this motel was excellent. Cannot speak highly enough of him and his efforts to make us comfortaable.

Size of room was below the standard of Booking.com fr price & star range, there were no chairs,nowhere to unpack ports, nowhere to hang clothes. Although Microwave, electric kettle, plates & cutlery supplied there was nowhere to prepare or eat food, no table chairs etc. The room was very small and had a small double bed & double bunks leaving no room to move around. one had to wait outside if the other was dressing or doing anything Definately well below standard.

I did not realize when I booked that some of the rooms had shared facilities like a hostel. The bathrooms/toilets were close to our room and generally the noise was fairly loud until the early hours. Parking was nowhere near our room - bit of a trek to get our stuff inside. Basin tap in the bathroom ran all night.

Camp style kitchen for meals. Easy to find and then get into town.
