Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe Airconditioner was abit loud… and would have been good to have streaming services but that is not really a reason for disliking the property just something to think about for the future 😀
It was perfect for my daughter and myself as she had 2courses over the 12 days and she could walk to them from the apartment.. Also Aldi is close by and the chemist … it was a bit cold for swimming but would definitely use in the summer months… it was clean and tidy and the shower was awesome…😀

Australianeeds some drawers. very tricky to unpack for 3 people for a few days. the sofa bed needs replacing full stop. it is more than just the topper, it doesn’t even work as a couch comfortably. the metal work is bowed and the cushions don’t align properly just to sit on it. we took the topper off and had to sleep with it on the floor. the bathroom needs the grout cleaning, mould stains aren’t a great look. need to have some extra bin liners under the sink.
the location was amazing, close to transport to head in any direction.

Location was great, 3-4 mins walk from museum station. I was a bit confused finding it at first though as the apartments were located at The Oaks Hyde park. The amenities are sufficient for a few days stay. Host was friendly.

New ZealandCommunication between myself and the proprietors of the apartment was exceptionally poor. There was no way to make direct contact without having to call booking.com. The contact numbers they provide either do not connect through or when they go to voice-mail there are no call backs. The tv was average, with only the local network. The remote didn't work, I believe it may have needed new batteries, but being as it is a private apartment the front desk were unable to help, and having no means of communication with the owners, I was taken back to the days of having to get up to change the channel at the screen. Moreover, the TV itself was glitching, and the channels would randomly change. The pull out sofa bed was enough for my child. However, for anyone over 30kg, it would not be a restful night as the mattress is very thin. Though complementary tubes of shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer were provided, there was no hand soap provided. We did take advantage of the provided hand sanitizer on the dining table, though.
The location is superb. Most of everything was walking distance, and if not, the train station was just down the road. The room was clean, and the bathroom was tidy. The apartment maintenance staff were friendly and able to give us information on the facilities provided.
