    The stay was great, but I didn’t like the way I was treated by the host

    The check in time was supposed to be at 4 pm. That is not convenient as everywhere ( in the world!) it is generally 2pm. In spite of me saying that I was attending a wedding, I requested early check in and was told that I could check in at 2 pm, and it was made to sound like a huge favour was being done for me. I have a property that I rent out on Airbnb and I try to accomodate my guests needs without sounding like I’m trying to do them a huge favour. Also I was asked to book and extra day if I wanted to check in before 2 pm. I was also asked to checkout before 10 and sms the landlady to advice time of departure so I didn’t feel like I was welcome, but my business was. It just a bit rude I think, as I never requested late checkout at any stage. It was also indicated to me that a 5 star rating was expected from me. While I cannot fault the accomodation itself, the attitude and language of the host was rude and not accomodating at all. I get it that some people take advantage but you cannot generalise and treat everyone with disrespect and to indicate that a 5 star rating is expected from me is a bit too much. My advice is, try to put yourself into the shoes of the travellers. What would you do if you were denied early check-in for a genuine reason? How would you respond if your hosts tried to squeeze more money out of you? Be a little understanding and flexible and try to not stereotype guests and have a blanket rule for all.

    Very modern and clean property and had everything that one would want in amenities.

    It’s not that I didn’t like it, but due to the lot layout and the relatively high ceilings, it took the air conditioning unit quite some time to heat the premises during my stay.

    This is a deceptively large property, with every possible inclusion such as board games, DVDs, kitchen utensils, coffee pods, condiments, bathroom products and loads of toilet paper.
