    Perfect. No complaints.

Location, surrounded by bush and close to Cradle Mountain was excellent. The cabin was super clean, cosy and comfortable. The hosts provided a mass of food and we were amazed by their generosity. Very well equipped, including lots of heaters and a wood fire. We were invited to feed the pademelons every evening at 5.30 and this was a wonderful experience. The cabin is the perfect wind down after a day of walking in the national park.

The cabin was a beautiful place to stay in a gorgeous setting. Sean had thought of every detail to make the stay extremely comfortable. He provided food for breakfast as well as an introduction to the local wildlife. Easy to access from the main road and very close to the entrance to Cradle Mountain park so the perfect location for a holiday stay.

Nothing, it is a special place to stay.

An amazing property, the photos on the website don't do it justice. From the outside the wooden hut looks well worn into the surrounding forrest, the inside however is beautifully kept with a thoughtful and spacious layout. It's set up with everything, and more, that you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The cabin is fairly remote and access to amenities is limited but the host compensates for that by stocking the place with more food, drink and tasty nibbles than you'll be able to consume within the number of days that you're there. There is a lack of phone/internet reception in the cabin but that all helps to digitally detox and truly relax into the stay. The local wildlife is plentiful and friendly!

Exceptional location and the cabin was so so good.... This cabin is unique, rustic on the outside and elegant on the inside - fully equipped with everything you could ever want and more. The log burner is like a furnace - you will never be cold. The kitchen is better equipped than our home, and to our astonishment full of helpful things - bread, milk, chocolate just in case we we missing the odd thing or three! The feeding time - 8.30pm for us - can't be missed, as can't sitting down on the chair by the river. The cabin is well placed for the National Park too.

Wombat Cabin was much bigger than I expected, very comfortable with most amenities provided. The owners were incredibly accommodating and encouraged us to participate in pademelon viewing, which was very special. The property was very generously stocked with special treats, which helped make a very memorable stay. Bed was sooo comfy!!

Not related to the cabin stay but I would recommend not driving in the area at night as the wildlife comes out in force.

The cabin was a great size and so well supplied with food for breakfast and lots of little treats too. The location is also pretty good with Cradle Mountain about a 15-20min drive away. We really enjoyed feeding the Pademelons with Sean, the host! One of the highlights of our trip to Tasmania. The photos on booking.com don't do the cabin justice, it's much nicer in person, I'd recommend taking some new photos in better light for the booking.com listing!

We loved the generous provisions supplied by Sean which were above and beyond anything we have had at an accomodation before. We loved everything!

If you are looking for a unique experience and still don't want to miss out on comfort, you've come to the right place! In a year of traveling around the world, the Wombat Cabin was the best experience we had. The house, which appears rustic from the outside, is so comfortably furnished from the inside. There are so many extras and so many little things that you can't help but be amazed. Everything is perfectly clean and lovingly designed. The fireplace in the evening is the best activity, so you don't need internet. Geoff is a great, warm host who makes you feel welcome. The animal feeding in the evening (wild animals that let themselves bepetted!) is unique in the world. Thank you, Geoff, for the special time.

Sean was a great host. The cabin was lovely and remote, but close to Cradle Mountain National Park and not too far from civilization. The cabin was set up with practically everything we could have needed. Hot & cold breakfast items, and a whole lot of extra treats we did not expect but were stoked to receive. Sean supplies Tassie products as much as he can, which is a bonus. It was a great base from which to explore Cradle Mountain and the north west coast of Tassie. Thanks Sean! PS: Did I mention the pademelons? We were able to see a number of them, including our very own afternoon visitor.

Didn't really worry us but there is no mobile or WiFi connection. We drove into the National Park each day and had a signal there plus WiFi.

We had two nights here and really enjoyed it. Remote, off grid, although within view of the road leading into the National Park. Cabin is Tardis like so much more inside that you would expect from outside. Really well-fitted out with much more than usual. Owner provides plenty of extra goodies which help to make sure your needs are met if you haven't read about the lack of local amenities close by. Quiet and peaceful place only sounds are the wind in the trees and the wildlife moving about outside after you have shut up for the night. Great supply of books, games and films to keep you occupied in the evening. Two tables to sit around and the place is well lit. The wood burning stove was very tempting but it was not cold enough to warrant using it. Owner really helpful and lives just down the track. We wish we could have stayed longer as it was an ideal base from which to visit Cradle Mountain.

Nothing! It was PERFECT! Just be aware there is NO reliable mobile phone reception or wifi. Come here to unplug, you'll be better off for it ;). If you really need to use the internet, just ask the hosts.

Located just off the main road, 20mins from Cradle Mountain Vistor Centre. Fridge and pantry was stocked with enough food and provisions for cooked or continental breakfast. Dietary requirements were looked after very well. Even had local treats and beverages left for us. The wildlife comes and visits every night and you're even allowed to feed them the special provided food! Washing machine and drying rack provided. Place has a fireplace, but if you're not into that or are sensitive to the potential of wood smoke being present/would like more control, there's a reverse cycle air conditioner that worked PERFECTLY to keep the whole place super comfy!

The large 'friendly ' possum who liked to hang out on the porch at night freaked me out by how close he wanted to get. Payment with online banking from an overseas account was tricky, requiring lots of extra details of our host and his bank, made especially difficult as there was no internet at the accommodation, so we went to the visitors centre.

Very peaceful and cosy. Lovely to have the fireplace ready to go when we arrived. Great to have a lot of breakfast provisions already there, including some thoughtful extras. Being asked to join in the feeding of the pademelons was an awesome experience too.

Not a thing, given that it is not difficult to offer a merit score of 20 out of a 10.

Exceptional Location in the middle of no-where, partly off the grid, but conducive to criteria we had in mind when making this booking. Cleanliness of dwelling, also was exceptional, indoor heating provided by a fully operating fireplace, with an over abundance of firewood to enable continuous warmth to emanate throughout the dwelling, as the external conditions during our stay were rather cold. Pantry fully stocked, over and above what competitive facilities would have offered. It appears our host Sean has established not only a B&B for the Human variety, but has also established a sanctuary for native wildlife of varied species, of which is extremely rewarding when experiencing a semi interaction with these animals, but allowing them to be at peace & harmony with their environment in safe & unencumbered surroundings without any strangulation of human footprints.
