How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was only a doona on the bed- no top sheet The hallways on our floor had a horrible methane odour most days.
We loved the breakfast and cocktails at Luna bar. Room was very well appointed

Firstly, I would like to commend your staff for their exceptional service and hospitality. The check-in process was smooth, and all the employees I interacted with were friendly and accommodating. However, I would like to bring to your attention a couple of issues regarding the room I stayed in. My room was located on the mid floor (4th floor) with a view of the main road. Unfortunately, this resulted in a significant amount of traffic noise in the morning, which made it a bit challenging to have a peaceful and uninterrupted sleep. In the future, I will make sure to request a room on a higher floor to minimize such disturbances. Furthermore, I noticed that the hallway leading to my room was quite dark, which made it difficult to navigate, especially during the evening. Additionally, the sound insulation in the hallway seemed inadequate, as I could hear people walking and talking outside my room, which affected my sleep quality. Lastly, I would like to mention that the elevator service was not up to par. The elevators took quite a long time to arrive, which resulted in some inconvenience, especially during peak hours.
Its proximity to the shopping center and various food places made it incredibly convenient for me to explore and indulge in the local attractions. I greatly appreciated being able to walk to these places and immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Moreover, I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast provided at your hotel. The selection was impressive, and I found the variety of options to be quite satisfying. The ability to make my own fresh juice was a delightful touch, and it added a refreshing element to my morning routine. I must also mention the exceptional service provided by your staff.

The lifts were slow, and the staff were a little abrupt when I queried the confusing charges on our account.
Buffet breakfast was great, lots of options. Rooms were spacious.

Booked a twin room but was allocated a king bed that couldn't be separated. It wasn't a big enough issue to raise and the hotel was full so I didn't give staff the opportunity to correct though another family staying at the same time had the same experience.

When checking out I spoke with the Reception staff about what we had spent in the Room bar and I thought that payment was taken there and then but it appears it’s going to get charged to the Card that I made the booking with. I would have preferred to have paid for it, when leaving with my eftpos card. As I don’t keep funds in my cards due to so much scammers.
Room food staff cleanliness proximity to zoo & footy. Anything we asked for was politely accommodated

We asked for later check-out, 4 days in advance. The staff at lobby was very supportive and granted us the late check-out. But when the day arrived, our card key access was blocked at regular time, we had to go back at lobby and there was that big queue of guests waiting to perform they check-out.
The staff always very polite and ready to assist.

The automatic coffee machine was good but the cups need to be pre heated so that a hot coffee is received . Coffee was only just warm , & not hot enough , a small matter .
The Crowne Plaza Adelaide was clean & comfortable . Our room was located on the top floor , level 20 with views towards the Adelaide Hills . This provided an excellent way to view the suburban areas of the city . The breakfast area located on level 10 was a little bit crowded at times , although the food on offer was very good .

Layout of access to the entrance, boring and not inviting Pool straight out from relaxing lounge area and people from pool with minimal clothing coming into the bar for drinks . Not a good look when you are socializing with friends and dressed up and then having , wet soaked bikini clad ladies receiving drinks next you at bar. ( the had on other options but to go to this same location) felt fir them as well. Both uncomfortable environment
