A bit expensive and disappointed we couldn't bring more than 1 car into the Holiday Park.

The location is absolutely magic. We had Cabin 3 and it was right on the river. Waking up every morning and looking out to the river was amazing. The Holiday is right across from a beach too, as long as you cross the busy Great Ocean Road to get to it. The Cabin was nice and had a lovely little deck to sit on and its own fore pit

Would’ve been good to have a toaster, microwave, wifi. The heater didn’t give out much heat at all. Being asked to mop floors before leaving is offensive when we paid such a high price to stay in a deluxe chalet. The cost should include full cleaning in our opinion.

    Beautiful park grounds amazing scenery

Only one PowerPoint. No toaster and no wifi unfortunately 5 people to charge phones at night didn’t work with one PowerPoint but apart from that it was good.

Location was perfect. Loved the scenery and space. Staff were friendly.

Price wise it was expensive. Considering no internet no charing sockets for a cabin and cleanness wise wasn’t the best. Bunk beds had huge amount of dust on them.

Calming cool space with the fire pit. Greenery and cool places to walk around.

The heater was turned off. There was no salad bowl nor microwave nor toaster. For the price, it seemed a bit stingy. The toilet paper was very poor quality. On arrival the staff were unfriendly, unwelcoming and because of the 1 car policy, we had to leave our car outside the park even tho it was quiet and there was plenty of room. I just found it a bit unfriendly even tho the staff (different staff members from check in)were friendly when we checked out

It was roomy and had a good view.

Unfortunately the local wildlife caused there to be a lot of poo all over the place - which I imagine would be hard to maintain - but just a frustration for me.

I love the location as it's a wonderful mixture of ocean, river & mountain & the park is nestled in there. Very peaceful & lots of ducks, kangaroos etc to watch.

the staff were a bit over-the-top about the tailgating rule, it ruined the vibe cos it was so unnecessary and didn’t make sense cos the boom gate was left open at night. weird.

the setting was fantastic next to the river and with such a beautiful backdrop of the cliff, not to mention close to the ocean.

Excellent location between beach and forest

Our hut was located just next to the generator building, which indeed makes quite some noise and thus we didn't enjoy sitting on the porch in the evening, and at night we had to close the windows (and it was still rather noisy). Might be okay if you stay at a hut a bit further. The lightning in the hut is good if you want to perform surgery there -- if you want to sit in the evening, better bring some candles, and there's also no reading or bedside light in the bedrooms.

We had a hut rented and we enjoyed the location very much: there's an excellent beach just across the street and there's a very nice and enchanting trail into the forest starting at the campsite. The hut is simple, functional, with a nice porch in front. The kangaroos were just in front on the lawn. The staff was very friendly and accessible.

there are no microwave and toaster, and no plungers for coffee in cabins. Which is a miss. maybe there are some in the communal kitchen, I do not know. there is no wife. the signal is only on the beach. So, you cannot get signal in cabins or on the camping grounds. I think this can be solved considering the stage of technology in Australia.

The camp is nearly on the shore/beach. The ocean is just across the road. Lorne is nearby ( 7 km drive away). there is, in Lorne, grocery stores and cafes etc. We found a couple of great hiking trails nearby. You can get log fire BBQ in the camp, which is great.

Outside our cabin were tents and camper vans, not only ruined the view and privacy, but the smoke from the wood fire got into our cabin, that we have to close the door. There is no wifi and no appliances are allowed to be used. Not even hair drier.

The cleaning isn't very well done. It's very cold in the morning in the bungalow so it's not pleasant.

The place is magnificent. You can come across kangoroos. The staff is very welcoming and smiling. It's very quiet and there's a beach opposite. Kids can play outside freely and safely.

Only one issue encountered during the last night. There was a flood in the river which is apparently common. I wasn't satisfied with their actions and delivery of information to the residents of the park. No emergency drill or info session was held to update residents. I found out by accident because I decided to buy soft drink from the shop before going on a hike. I was intending to cross the river for my hike. If I hadn't found out I would have likely been stuck in the bush for days. The area isn't Internet accessible, to get any info you need to walk to the beginning of the park, to the main carpark to pick any signal which is often poor. No emergency drill was done at any points although residents were trapped in for the afternoon towards the evening. The only time we were debriefed was when a police officer came to the cabin to take number of occupants in case of evacuation in middle of night but that was at 9pm when it was already very dark.

Location is perfect for hiking to different locations. Beach is only accessible by crossing the great Ocean road which isn't ideal. Beach is often too cold and windy I would think it's best visited around late January. People go swimming in Comberland River water fall pond which is accessible by hiking, slightly tricky to access. The playground is basic so kids will get board after 3 days, get plenty of board games, bikes and scooters are recommended.

Although the cabin was comfortable, we were surprised at the price we paid that we were expected to sweep and mop the place before checking out. The place would have scored much more highly for us if the price were lower or the cleaning were taken care of for us (our preferred option - didn't expect to spend our final morning there cleaning the place).

Great natural surroundings, with kangaroos, cockatoos and kookaburras at your front door and the ocean just across the rod.
