Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLiked everything, hence why this is our third stay here.
This is our third stay at Crocodylus, always an enjoyable time, clean, super comfortable beds, love falling asleep to the sounds of wildlife in the rainforest. It is also worth getting up early to go down and watch the sun rise at Cow Bay. The food served is delicious, definitely recommend the sticky date pudding, best I have ever tasted! Always great getting back into nature, we will be back……

United KingdomWe absolutely loved our stay (family of 3 with our 1.5 year old toddler in tow). The grounds are just amazing, you really get the sense of being lost on the rainforest with the most magical sounds over night! The food was great, Craig on staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! We would have loved to stay for longer! Our little girl loved it there too, the other guests were really friendly and Stella (resident dog) was great with her!

FranceI had no luck : the guide for the night tour was sick. And a small issue on the dryer that did not work
Location is awsome to experience the Daintree forest. You can't be more immersed without camping. The hosts are very nice and do really all their best to make this memorable.

AustraliaVery peaceful and quiet (which was lovely) but I felt a bit stressed trying to keep my kids' volume down. No guests or staff made me feel this way- I was just super conscious that I didn't want to ruin other people's peaceful relaxation.
Staff were friendly- Craig made us feel very welcome. Gorgeous setting. Amazing to sleep whilst listening to the sounds of the rainforest and the rain. We had dinner and breakfast at the cafe and the meals were delicious!

United KingdomNothing. We had a wonderful stay.
The food in the restaurant was just what we wanted after a day in the jungle and the night walk with Jamie was really good (we saw lots of wildlife and he knew a lot about the rainforest). We also liked listening to all the animals while lying in the absolute pitch black but still feeling safe and secure within our tent.

New ZealandNothing. just make sure you read the email from the owner which explains exactly what your signing up for.
Great place to stay if you want to get back to nature and meet other like minded people. We had an amazing stay in the jungle. The accommodation is set in amongst the rainforest and is exactly what you would expect if your after an authentic ‘glamping’ experience where you get to see and hear all the critters in the forest. If your after a luxury hotel this is not the place for you, if you want to chat with people, experience the Daintree and get the inside word on all the off the beaten track places then you’ll love it, we certainly did. Make sure you do the rainforest night walk!!

United Statesyou really only choose this property knowing it’s rustic (glamping). You get used to walking to the clean bathroom and using the bug netting over your bed😁

United KingdomNo locks on your bedroom door but felt safe at the property.
We stayed here for one night and it was an amazing experience. You really are getting an authentic experience out here. So do not go if you are looking for anything fancy. It’s basic, but therefore you hear every single bit of the rain Forrest ! Kitchen is great and was clean for cooking. Craig the caretaker is the reason our stay was so great! Really helpful and a great source of knowledge ! I forgot my iPad and he returned it to us, such a kind man. Thanks Craig

AustraliaImmersion in the rainforest…just magical. Craig made this stay really special- he went out of his way to share special must see locations and was so kind when my daughter was unwell. I cannot speak highly enough of this experience that was, in very large part, due to Craig’s hospitality

New ZealandJust one other guest when we visited, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re after.
Very unique rainforest accomodation, tents were super cool. The facilities were impressively clean considering you are in the middle of the jungle. After an issue with check in Craig gave us a free upgrade to a room with an en suite bathroom, which was very appreciated given it poured with rain all night!
