Great location where we were able to watch the beautiful sunset while sitting beside the river listening to the relaxing sounds of the water. We were then able to take a very short stroll to the Hunt Club (pub) for a pre dinner drinks. We came back to the cottage and enjoyed the great amenities to cook dinner and some quiet time alone for our 19th anniversary. Will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time to really be able to enjoy the full beauty of this property. One night just wasn’t enough.

WOW!!! What a beautiful little cottage. Gorgeously decorated with beautiful touches (amazing body products too). Comfy beds. Lovely showers. A hop skip and a jump to the river on the property with chairs and hammocks to relax / read / swim Walking distance to the pub (was closed on Wednesday when we stayed) but 15 min drive to Mansfield with amazing cafes / pubs / restaurants/ shops. We stayed as a base for our high country horse ride and had an amazing relaxing night to unwind. Pure zen. Loved it!

Gorgeous Cottage! Very clean, spacious & full of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We chose to stay here so our 1 year old had plenty of space to move around, after a long day of travel/sightseeing & it was perfect for us. Having the pub right across the street was really convenient too & a great feed at that! The owners were also very accommodating & provided great communication. Thanks for a great stay 😊

Great cottage for a small family. One of the best properties we stayed. Excellent condition and looks fresh. The place was very clean, we stayed two nights and my teenage sons loved it. The river next to the property was flowing and had a couple of hours there too.

The pillows on the bed were quite uncomfortable but we switched them out with some of the spares in the cupboard which were a lot better!

A beautiful, comfortable cottage with everything that we needed. Loved the addition of local loose leaf teas - we actually went into Mansfield to buy some during our stay!

We were pleasantly surprised the moment we entered the cottage. The kitchen and living area were spacious. Its facilities were excellent and the lovely decor provided great finishing touches for a fresh and comfortable feel. The beds too were most comfortable. It was so appreciated that each bedroom had its own ensuite. We really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table in the beautiful setting down by the creek as well. Merrijig Cottage is certainly a great place to relax.

There was nothing we didn't like. Our only feedback was on the instructions to get into the property. The property uses and electronic pin access, which we have not had experience with before. The instructions to access the property were provided however once entering the pin code you then need to press the "unlock/lock symbol" which our 12 year old soon figured out!!!

The property is cosy and its location by the river was very tranquil. The property is located close to Mansfield and Mount Buller and having the Pub a two minute walk away for dinner was convenient.

It is the second time we book this place and enjoy it a lot. It has all that you need: utensils, cookware, tea, coffee - everything is of a great quality. My personal favourite is the river at the back of the yard.

The accommodation was in great condition (felt as if it was a brand new property), well presented, in a beautiful setting, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Brett is a great host and was “on call” and immediately responsive whenever we had queries.

Normal Tv channel are weird or non existent. May there is somewhere that explains the system. The main heater does not heat that well, maybe it needs its filters cleaned out or an up grade. Great joint overall though
