The toilet lid hits the wall when you move on it (this could disturb a partner at night). I think it was just that the lid is too tight. The view was of a carpark so very dark view, not much natural light. The mattress was a bit too firm, but not too bad, just had to move around a bit through the night, but still had a comfy sleep.

The decor is lux, pillows were comfy and there were options, pool area was lovely, room was clean and spacious. Location was super convenient, right near skybus, Coles and Chemist a short walk. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Fresh pillows were not necessarily clean with random pieces of dust or hair that we had to pick away. The packet teas and sugars looked like they were there for a long time and the sugar even broke out of the packaging. Had to request for additional housekeeping after checking in but the staff attended to all requests swiftly

How dark my room was... and how it looked into other apartments next door... but this is to be expected.

The Dorsett Melbourne is new, and it sparkles in it's newness. The rooms are sheltered from the outside so you don't need to look out, only stay within. I used the gym, the pool and spent some time in the bar. The staff were helpful allowing me to store my luggage before check-in, and it's super close to the train station.

Perhaps including cocktails on the in-room dining menu would be one improvement to suggest, but truly everything was so perfect!

This is a lavishly decorated and thoughtful property which was an absolute joy to stay at. Gorgeous furnishings, loved the extra amenities including pool and gym facilities, and perfectly located in the CBD.

Pillows were too soft, bathroom light lit the whole room at 3am

I was disappointed that the mini fridge had no freezer area for my freezer packs. Other than that, no complaints.

I was given an upgrade on arrival, which included Club Lounge access. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was large, the bed was comfortable and a lovely large shower. It was in a great location close to the station and many restaurants.

Unfortunately, for us as it was school holidays and there was little chance of being able to use the pool. And very young children with no shoes often running in the gym. I’d recommend no one under 12 in the gym, and adults only between 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm in the pool.

It is a very well run hotel - who ever is in charge should be congratulated. Lovely to stay somewhere with an appropriate check-out time. The front desk staff and cleaning crews some of the best around. The staff make this place - if they go it would be a different story.

City view of the side of the car park next door. Had to wait a little for breakfast. Bed a little hard and the pillow was too soft for my liking
