This was a beautiful quiet perfect escape for my partner and I. There were so many lovely little touches, like a pod coffee machine, fresh juice in the fridge that we didn’t expect and it was very appreciated. We had a brief chat with the hosts but we like our space and they gave us that. On our last afternoon there it started to hail - the host grabbed a doona and ran out to put it over our car. What an absolute legend.

Fantastic location - walking distance to the beach and cafes, immaculate accommodation, loved all the extras - coffee machine, breakfast supplies, gorgeous shower products, all the kitchen appliances and utensils you would ever need.

Nothing - it was all really delightful.

The setting is beautiful and the location is outstanding. Being close to the beach is delightful. The room is well set up with good wifi and easy to access facilities. The hosts are also delightful and extremely warm and generous. Being able to have an outdoor fire was a lovely treat. The small verandah was a lovely place to eat and enjoy the afternoons. This is a very restful and peaceful location, one that I highly recommend.

The memory foam mattress takes getting use to. Personal preference either love it or it’s annoying.!

Relaxing self contained room, welcoming & friendly hosts. Perfect as a stop over on route to Byron or Qld or a romantic getaway. Very comfortable with serene bush lad view. Memory foam mattress is interesting.

It was a shared location on site with owners but separated by a breeze way. For us this was perfect as the owners were lovely - very welcoming and helpful.

The property was so generous and beautifully decorated with extra organic shower and bath products and breakfast treats. Location was gorgeous in nature and woke up to songbirds and sunrises.

My husband and I have stayed here several times and we love it. It’s a perfect stop for a night or 2. Beautiful accommodation and the owners are so welcoming and kind. Right beside the beach and the local cafe does great food. Highly recommend staying here.

I didn't like the mattress style. Could be just a personal thing, but I did not find it comfortable. Also even though the beach is beautiful, the path down there through the bush is a bit treacherous for elderly knees!

This is a gorgeous place. It has been lovingly designed as a separate private studio and is beautifully furnished and everything is new and modern and stylish and excellent quality. Lovely decorations, good quality towels and bathroom products and nice touches like shells sitting on the towels etc. Also great that there was milk, juice and muesli. Microwave also handy. Most of the places around here are old ugly motor inns so as a place to do as a stopover on a road trip it was a million times nicer. The hosts had a good welcome folder and were happy to leave you alone or say hi if you wanted to be social. Lovely garden and from the balcony of my studio I could see the beach. It is quite a decent size studio with nice big bathroom and shower.

A beautiful quiet location with a lovely outlook and a short stroll the beach. The hosts couldn’t be more helpful and respectful. The accommodations were stunning, well appointed and all the Small’s things though of. Loved the light breakfast, selection of teas and coffee!!! I can not speak highly enough of Carl & Kate! We will be back.

The only thing that didn't seem to fit with the organic atmosphere of the place was the super fragranced bedding. For me personally it's really challenging sleeping surrounded by artificial fragrance. My stay would have been even more luxurious and comfortable if the sheets were washed with unscented / naturally fragranced washing liquid.

I cannot wait to stay here again! The hosts have thought of literally everything here and took such great care of us. I particularly loved the organic bath products, comfortable bedding, breezy light filled atmosphere, seeing the ocean from our room and coming home to the fire pit lit and ready for us <3

At a time when everything was closed we were not able to cook a meal. A bbq or similar would have been great. Not sure what the breakfast provisions should have been beside milk and OJ?

A lot of thought has gone into the design and finishing touches. The location and proximity to a beautiful beach.

Provide a gas/wood/electric Bar-b-q. Not everyone enjoys using a microwave. The small fridge should be replaced with a larger one. If we HAVE to use a microwave, provide more freezer space for the frozen meals ..... and beer/wine. Sharpen the large knives in the cutlery drawer. The amount of usable "kitchen" bench is insufficient. Screens need to be placed over the louvres. At one stage a swarm of black flies invaded through the open louvres near the patio. Why do most B&Bs think everyone watches TV from the bed?

The apartment was very clean and very spacious and in pleasant surrounds. Ample supplies were provided and replacement supplies available. A good and wide selection of books was available.
