Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNo dislikes, only to note things.
EcOasis was our heaven after a hellish day where we had gone to another accommodation, and it'd been triple booked, and we had nowhere to stay 4 hours from home and on Easter. But Ria and her family at EcOasis came to our rescue, and as night was looming after spending hours on the phone, trying to find somewhere to sleep. When we heard there was no mobile phone coverage or WiFi connection we were slightly uncertain, but we really did love and benefit from it "mentally" going back to watch countless DVDs available at reception, listening to the rainforest in all its glory, having a quiet drink on the deck and cooking a nice meal with one another without that distraction and addiction that is our mobile phone. We loved the tree house, from the full kitchen to the loungeroom with wall to ceiling windows and a comfy lounge, the deck (bring bushman's bug repellent as to be expected there is mosquitoes, midgies, leeches you are in a rainforest) the warm showers and bath and the especially guaranteed goodnight sleep in the bed. The management is so kind & they provide complimentary bits and bops from all local providers like organic delicious milk for a couple of days stay, granola for an easy brekky, coffee beans from the Roast Office Uki which is delicious even made in a basic coffee plunger, olive oil and more. A very beautiful place, would love to return one day. If you're a bird lover, bring some binoculars and a long lens camera as I'm sure you'll spot some beautiful birds or at least the sounds. NOTE: Remember you're staying in the rainforest in Australia and you must be aware there are mosquitoes, midges, leeches, spiders and ants, I'm sure there are other creepy crawlies Please note that they were not inside the chalet but were outside but it's their home. Phone reception isn't available in a couple of chalets, and this is something we ended up absolutely loving. There is a 60m 1.

AustraliaThe room was ready slightly after our check in time (30 minutes).
The peaceful, quiet outlook and views of the mountains, tree tops and birds, the space in the accomodation, the full kitchen, the rate (50% off full price was excellent value).

Breaky was lovely except the salmon was out of stock . Not the owners fault. It was a beautiful special ambience. We loved it.

AustraliaThe view of Mt Warning from reception is stunning and we had to appreciate it over a few sessions of lounging on the grass. Our Hideaway chalet didn't have a view but we didn't mind as we felt immersed in the forest and woke to birdsong. We also opted for a gongfu tea ceremony with Iya, which was fun and insightful. Iya and Sandro are thoughtful owners who showcase the local area and their enthusiasm for the environment.

AustraliaThere was no wifi but also no phone service in our cabin. It's a slight uphill trek from the cabin just to get to your car. So, for example, to book a cab we had to go outside (in the rain on this weekend, which I know is not their fault!), hike up a rocky hill for a few minutes, get in the car and drive (Yes it's pretty far) to the front of the property just to make the call. Admittedly, this was probably noted in the listing but I'm pointing it out as many travellers these days assume hotels have wifi and phone service. There is also a tv, but you can only watch DVDs on it. This is the perfect place if you are looking to go off the grid. If not, it's a bit of a faff.
Beautiful and private location. Everything was very clean. They stocked the place with everything you might need. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The large windows on the back of the cabin made it so picturesque. Absolutely lovely!
