A coffee machine in the breakfast area would be welcomed addition.

Accommodation was warm, cosy and exceptionally clean. Location was excellent, a lovely stroll along a footpath into the town centre. Hosts Linda and Tony were friendly and welcoming.

Rules and reminders - even though we have received 2 previous emails, the rules and reminders were reinforced on check in, making an impression of a very controlled environment. Breakfast - We had few misunderstandings of how the breakfast rule works. May I suggest for those that have paid for Continental breakfast to be exempt for the yellow slip rule, as the breakfast has to be ready irrespective if you intend to have it or not. For us this was a let down, as we have initially been denied the paid breakfast and entry in the meals area, because of the yellow slip rule. Room light / privacy - our room was not as light filled as we had liked, but manageable. Privacy can be an issue when you slide the curtain, so adding sun shade blinds will improve it. Bathroom - a frameless shower screen instead of curtain, a window blind and a wall toilet paper holder, rather than a floor one, will line up with the level of expectation demanded by the room cost. Other things that can be improved - Property signage, WiFi by freely offering the commercial option to guests, disclosure of the wall installed smart AC controller behind TV, daily sweets deliveries to be agreed upon at check in.

The room is clean with offerings of bath robe (not used), slippers and toiletries. A quiet place, hence why the rules are very strict on quiet hours, not bringing children in, no pets, no smoking, no cooking of any form allowed in the guest room, no paid breakfast without providing a filled yellow slip. We have picked this accommodation on a short notice, due to close proximity to a group of friends located nearby. We did not mind the location - 1.9 km from the city centre, as we were travelling by car. .

Only minor quibble is it's a little far out of Bright, but we're talking an absolute minor there. If anything it added to the quietness and you couldn't hear traffic on the main road.

Quiet and very well equipped. The hostesses were lovely people and very accommodating, full of knowledge. They're my gold standard in how to run a guest house. They welcomed me at very short notice for which I'm even more grateful for.

I have not one negative thing to say, except I wish I was able to stay there longer, except they were fully booked and I was also booked in somewhere else unfortunately.

The owners/hosts were an absolutely wonderful couple - the right balance in welcoming guests with information, and friendliness, always there if needed yet privacy respected. Anthony and Linda were the best hosts I have ever met. I was kindly allowed to borrow a bike and rode on the trail that is accessible right out front of Edlin House that goes either to Harrietville or into Bright, the river also runs not far out the back so there's beautiful spots to walk, fish and swim if you are up to it. The walk into town is pleasant and just long enough for you to look forward to visiting some of the great little cafes for coffee and meals. After full active days the room was such a relief to come back to - quite private looking out on to a beautiful garden from the covered wrap around deck with a little table and chairs for those who prefer being outside, lots of lovely places to sit and enjoy coffee or glass of wine. The room was spacious enough yet cosy and warm with a very comfortable bed, electric blanket and heating and everything else I could think of to be comfortable including lovely bathroom supplies, coffee pods and lovely quality chocolates gifted every day when the room was refreshed. There is even a communal dining space in the house that I didn't check out, for a longer stay would be handy. I have highly recommended Edlin House to everyone I speak to who like to visit Bright for holidays.

A door on the ensuite bathroom. This did not bother me as it was only me.

I loved the comfortable bed, beautiful linen, warm room, big towels, wifi, treats in my room (made by the host), cutting board and cheese knife, piping hot shower, and electric blanket for the bed. Very comfortable. There is a walk into town along the river (25 mins). I did not have the breakfast, which was muesli & toast, because Im mostly gluten free. This preference might have been available, but I was busy seeing the sights and did not ask my hosts.
