We stayed at Elfin Hill hosted by the lovely Edwina and Damian in Feb 2024. This place has everything you need for the perfect fun-filled yet peaceful getaway in the stunning Wine Region. The property itself and vast grounds it boasts are fabulous but this place is made even more special by Edwina and Damian. They go the extra mile for guests and make you feel at home from the offset. The personal touches on top of the beautiful accomodation - like a wonderful breakfast option, the pizza oven, complimentary wine, amazing company - can’t be faulted! Thank you Edwina and Damian for taking us under your wing and being so kind during our stay, we won’t forget you or Elfin Hill!

The room was clean & really comfortable. The verandah looked out over the beautiful property. Birds chirping in the tall trees. So peaceful.

Our stay was so wonderful. Elfin Hill is in a scenic & incredibly tranquil part of Pokolbin. Edwina & Damien were the perfect hosts. Friendly & professional. Helped to guide us around the area nothing was a problem. Delicious breakfasts as well! We’ll be back!

A lovely, well-appointed bathroom which had an annoying shower curtain.

Continental breakfast was offered. We enjoyed the option to eat outside overlooking the valley. Lovely spacious room, and comfortable bed. Well appointed with wine in fridge. Nice touch. Stunning views in a quiet, secluded location. Lovely pool on the property.

Would like the rooms a little darker ( impacted by walkway lighting). Perhaps some form of entry way curtain would help. Bed a little soft but I do normally sleep on a hard bed.

Edwina and her husband were fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and really well decorated. There were lovely little touches like a complimentary bottle of wine in our fridge on the first night and even some port in the pavilion if you wanted it! Breakfast was really tasty with the most amazing views as we ate. Would definitely visit again if we ever find ourselves in that neck of the woods again!

The views are stunning, the rooms clean and comfortable. The beds and breakfast were great, but more than everything, the hosts were warm, welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Great location. Great balcony with views. Loved the setting. Marie and her husband were very kind and hospitable. Kangaroos and birds in the morning. Great for watching sunset while sipping on wine from your balcony or the common deck. Overall superb stay rightin the middle of wine country. Definitely recommend.

Exceptional. I loved everything about it. Edwina and Damian, the hosts, were so lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. Even Rosie, the cat, went out of her way to say hello. My room was perfect, a great size and the entire venue was so tranquil. The private verandah overlooking bushland made it seem as if you had the whole place to yourself. Edwinas' hot and continental breakfasts were delightful, and I felt as if I was staying with friends. I had a fractured back and was looking for a quiet place to get away and I just loved it. I found the venue was very accessible. Set on a hill, it's close to the wineries, Hunter Valley Gardens, lots of restaurants, and the markets, but far enough away, you feel like you are escaping from the everyday hustle. Verandahs everywhere make for nice spots to sit with a book or a glass of wine, and they have it set up for every scenario with a large common area with books, DVDs, games and a great communal kitchen. It's a great spot for a private function or celebration. Exceeded my expectations and I wish I'd booked a longer stay. I'll be back.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an absolute delight. The quiet and serene atmosphere was exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. Moreover, the hotel's location is perfect, with numerous charming wineries nearby to explore. The owners were not only lovely but also went out of their way to recommend some fantastic places in the vicinity. Their kindness added a personal touch to the experience, making my stay even more memorable. Elfin Hill, Marie and Mark should be your number one destination in Pokolbin. Welcoming and friendly the hosts are easy to talk to and very helpful in arranging everything from recommendations for wineries to the perfect breakfast! I’m a bit shy about giving too much away because it’s such a secret but I want to make sure you know how special Elfin Hill is.
