Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe cleaning was good but could have been better with the oven + coffee machine. I cleaned them up myself. But this was just a minor issue. May need a thin matt or a small shoes rack inside. It was a rainy week, the floor area at the front door got wet whenever we got back from outside.
Location: Very close to the city center and harbours. Walking distance to Sydney fish market + Pyrmont. Bus stop in front of the properties + nice restaurants in the areas. Furniture: Comfy beds + pillows + sofa, new/good kitchenware + nice coffee machine, a Xbox, large TVs on every rooms. Everything seems to be new and well equipped, feeling it like a home, not a rental place. The whole apartment is new and pretty well built. The compliment bottle of wine from Margaret River region is the cherry on the top. The host: Friendly and respectful host.

AustraliaIt’s not the properties fault but the pics online were of 2 different apartments. I thought I had booked the apartment with a large kitchen, but it wasn’t the one we got. The kitchen was really small-not that I was planning on cooking up a storm, but I think it should be made clearer. Also the PS5 is supplied but you need your own PS account and games to use it.
Great location with bus stop at front door. Great communication with owner. Place was clean and bed was super comfy. Quiet neighbourhood to wander around in.

AustraliaThe shower had substantial mould and needs a thorough bleach and clean. There is no fans in the bedrooms so guests need to rely on split system air conditioning circulating the entirety of the unit to cool. We had to sleep with our doors open to stay somewhat comfortable however, end room struggled to stay cool.
Beautiful apartment in a convenient location, a quick uber ride to the city. Easy local parking on the street (be mindful of timed parking on weekdays). All required amenities available. Easy access to apartment and clear instructions by property manager.

AustraliaThings not to like is a little hard, some small things in the scheme of things are not worth noting, I would have preferred to provide feedback back direct to the management for correction as everything was near perfect. 1. Drinking glasses were in the top cupboard, we are quite small and if one of us (3 stayed) wasnt taller we would have struggled to reach, which could have been dangerous. 2. Providing some sugar and milk (maybe long life) would have been nice as we arrived late and didnt have access to the shops until the morning. (Though did provide coffee and wine) 3. The bedframes and area under the sink draining rack could have been cleaned more throughly, though wasnt very bad, still was a bit dusty. 4. Key one for me, the guest guide has poor punctuation, we were all professionals and had to break down some parts for it to make sense, and some extra parts like exact bus services from outside and directions to the light rail would have been useful (we managed OK to work these out), the recommendations of the cafe's were excellent though. 5, Shower was a bit high, anyone wishing to use the hand shower manually would have struggled to take off the rail if quite short. 6. TV, I would have loved to have local TV stations available, though we wasnt in the apartment much, so not a big issue for me.
Fantastic location, bus stop right outside that went direct to central station and Circular Quay, 5 min walk for light rail, pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants right on your doorstep and only 20 mins into central Sydney for anything else. Apartment was spacious and had everything you could have asked for, modern applicances, large TVs and streaming services, informative guest guide, lovely polite neighbours, great outdoor decking area. Great touch on providing a nice bottle of wine and chocolates/cookies on arrival. Bathroom accessories were top of the range, and plentiful, shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. All in, the issues were minor, nothing I would even mention, I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Sydney 100%.

AustraliaThe shower leaks quite a lot. And if you have heavy/a lot of luggage, the stairs to get to the flat are challenging. But otherwise it was lovely.
It's very tiny, but clean and very comfortable. The chocolates and wine were a lovely touch!

Unit 5 What a great apartment! It’s funky and cozy. Great location, beautiful 10 minute walk to the light rail, a bus stop at the front door, cafe and food a short walk away. LOVED the beds, so comfortable, we had a great sleep. We easily found street parking right out front. Very accommodating, like a home away from home. Fun bonuses: huge tv’s, streaming services and PS5, Pinot Noir and nibbles on arrival, it felt very welcoming, thank you!

United KingdomI think the way the parking is expressed on booking.com could have been a bit clearer. I saw the "on site" parking but when you read the details it says street parking. I think the use of the term "on site" is somewhat ambiguous.

United KingdomParking is tricky if you want to leave the car and explore but not impossible. You can leave outside in the day up to 4 hours and then move it (mon-fri). Occasionally footsteps heard from neighbouring Units but no noise in general
Stayed in a 2 bed, 2 adults 3 kids. Was well furnished and extremely comfortable. Was easy base to explore Sydney with about a 20 minute walk to Darling Harbour or 5 mins from another ferry point. Safe and peaceful area with amazing restaurant a few doors down. Managed to park 7 mins walk away and left the car for 3 days. All fine.

AustraliaHaving to shared the keys. My nephew took the keys with him, and the owner’s mother opened the gate for us, after I called the after hour number. Having a spare keys somewhere outside the property and get the code changed regularly would help.
Excellent location for breakfast, and dinner. It was within walking distance. The place was quiet, and peaceful to stayed.

AustraliaUnfortunately, I left my iPad behind when we checked out, I arranged for an uber to go back to the property, collect it and bring to me at the airport. Whilst the host answered my phone calls and facilitated my request to ask the cleaners to take the iPad out to the uber, his tone was very short, and he actually hung up on me when I called to say the uber was 2 minutes away. This made me feel like I was being a major inconvenience to him, I was simply trying to get my iPad back in the simplest way. This dampened my overall experience.
The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable, there were a lot of little extras that made the stay really enjoyable.

AustraliaThere were a few minor things that would have made the stay even better. Communication on the day of arrival was a little slow. There was no plug for the kitchen sink. We did mention this to the gentleman who had handed over the keys. There was only one tea towel for our 7 day stay and only a sponge/scourer for wiping the bench. The unit was quite noisy. Unfortunately the people staying above were banging around at all hours and did wake us a few times. The front porch area could do with a good tidy up.
The location was superb! Lots of beautiful historic homes. Walking distance to lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. Bus stop right outside the door with buses every 10 minutes to either the city or Coogee. Wine and chocolates on arrival was a lovely touch. Also appreciated the tea selection and the coffee beans for the machine plus other pantry items. The prompt attention to a minor leak in the bathroom
