How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We were totally spoilt from the moment we stepped into the reception area to the time we left 3 days later. Ankit and his Team were very attentive to our needs and made our 25th Wedding Anniversary so special. We were actually totally blown away with kindness. Reception is incredibly difficult to find via car. There needs to be better signage to direct you to it.
Loved the room quality and views across the river. The check-in staff were superb.

Aircon in room not great, it was hot weather and room was hot. Also very little in the way of toiletries. Room service slow. Ordered extra towels and toiletries, took forever to come Club sandwiches cold.

The bins in the room were too small and charging a service fee so high ($8) was a bit much. We wanted to order from the pillow menu but didn’t want to pay the service fee

Person taking orders at the spa and pool, very slow to come to take our order, and we didn't get a menu upon arrival, like he wasn't very helpful with the menu and then when we finally ordered, the one wine we ordered wasn't available anyway, We scraped our order in the end. He certainly wasn't unpleasant instead he just gave the impression he didn't want to be there. The extra cost of $8 for room service in general made it unattractive option also. A suggestion I would make ... the glare off the building and direct sun onto the spa while in spa is very unpleasant and very hot ( and it wasn't a very hot day) you maybe need to look at sails or umbrella set up in some way to give shade for guests, that would be my suggestion to you.
Great location, carpark very close, staff very friendly and helpful in general, got a complimentary bottle of wine ( special occasion). Very nice.

The only issue was Uber Eats had a hard time finding the property, but the manager went beyond my expectations calling the Uber driver to explain how to get in the parking garage. I was mind blown how hard he worked to make sure we got our food when I was ready to throw in the towel.
The service was TOP NOTCH! The staff always had a smile and were right there to help me after traveling and a cancelled flight. I can't thank them all enough. They even gave me a tour of the room to show me how to use all the technology (which is awesome). Very modern room with a great view.

Check in process wasn't great for a 5 star hotel. We had booked over 6 weeks in advance and let them know that we would be arriving in the early morning. (not their fault I understand) but I had requested an early check in multiple times at which they responded with they would see what they could do when we arrived. We went to the desk at 11am to see when the room would be available and they said someone was cleaning the room and that it should be ready for us shortly. We didnt receive a call until 10 minutes before mandatory check in at 3pm. It was pretty disappointing. They also did not give us a late check out either. The hotel and rooms were very glamorous, however the pool area was a little underwhelming. 80% of the pool is undercover and the pool loungers are actually quite far away from the area.
Really amazing rooms, they are so generous in size and all of the space is so beautiful with a really elegant furniture and ammenities. The bed is to die for, large and extremely comfortable. They give you a couple of snacks and free water in your room which is a nice touch. The mini bar wasn't exorbitant in price. The hotel gym is also one of the best I have been too. Brand new, high tech equipment with plenty of room and great views!
