The accommodation was a bit far out. We tried to reach newcastle city center with public transport and had quite some trouble getting there and back.

The guest in the room next to me (above the reception) was smoking on balcony and playing music from a speaker at 9pm. I had to call reception to ask them to turn it off and stop smoking. I could not use my balcony as a result nor open my windows. You can hear every door in the complex open and close and the pipes rattle every time someone uses the water.

Lack of tissues, miserly soap/shampoo dispensers Berry mess on car next morning from tree behind carpark (needs pruning back).

Trouble accessing room keys in box in security box on the room door... lights out & Reception door closed before 8pm closing time...although I did get a call back which was helpful... extra blanket heavy & coarse not at all cosy... still no herbal tea option...liquid soap in bathroom at the basin appeared perhaps to be either just cheap or watered down....so not quite matching the higher price for me this time...thankyou

No, there's nothing we did not like. But we did like the small microwave in the room. If I was to be really picky then a few more electric plugs around the beds would be OK.

This older style motel has had a brand new renovation. It was bright and clean and served the purpose for a one night sleepover. I was hesitant reading earlier reviews but I can vouch that it has been fixed. No bad smells just a plain and simple clean and fit for purpose motel. The sheets were brand new and crisp cotton to the touch which was a bonus.

Had argument happening next door - but that’s not the fault of the accomm provider. Some fixtures in the motel are a bit old and probably need replacing.

Good location. Spacious rooms. Microwave and some cutlery/crockery. Was thankfully moved to an alternate room due to bickering visitors next door, mngt was very helpful in this regard.

Fix water damage vanity's, inspect lights in rooms and ensure they all work. Simple stuff. Bed was rock hard, pillows were flat, it was a nice room but for the price I think a bit more attention to detail.

Good for a stop over on the way from sydney to brisbane. Room was big enough for 3 of us and check in was through key box. Had kettle and microwave as well as cutlery, cups, plates with a mini fridge. Off street parking available. Location was quiet, 10min walk into town for dinner. Convience store at the end of the street for snacks and water.

The sofa was rubbish. Totally worn out. The table was tiny for two to have breakfast.

A little more soundproofing, no water pressure in basin taps,. Sliding door to bathroom loose and rattled when windy.

The complex is dated but in reasonable condition. The bathroom had issues for example the sliding door kept falling off the track and the shower head had more water leaking from its connection than came out of the head itself.

Location and availability. The price for the time we required was reasonable. It was easy to access the property althouge parking can be an issue.

No staff. Self check in with a keysafe and code for access. As a solo traveler I felt a little vulnerable.

Room was good on the lower level so not as many stairs for my mother who cant walk very far or do stairs well. Was pretty easy to get the key for being a late check in.

On arrival we went to reception. Staff member sitting at desk on her phone did not acknowledge us. It wasn’t until I said ‘excuse me’ she put her phone down after she had finished watching something on her phone. Also, I didn’t realise it was a smoking motel when I booked. That needs to be clearly stated prior to finalising a booking.

Location was great! Rooms spacious and clean. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and happy to have a chat.

As with many motels, room was a bit tired, but clean nonetheless.

Standard motel type accommodation in quiet location very handy for town centre. Shops nearby - better to have a car for supermarket and to get to all attractions. Very welcoming church on opposite corner. Great choice of restaurant cuisines including some with view of harbour/ beach.
