Michael was an exceptional host in this traditional bed and breakfast. He provided a lovely tour and was incredibly welcoming. We stayed in the apartment - it was incredibly warm, clean and beautifully furnished. The kitchenette had every we needed, the tvs logged into Netflix etc, bathrooms with extra touches, a full size fridge. It really was a home away from home in a beautiful setting. The washing machine was a lovely addition, and Michael gave us the hot tip to ensure we used it before heading off to Bruny Island that has limited water. The homemade biscuits were a very sweet touch. the smell of breakfast coming from the main house was amazing. We will definitely be coming back. Explorers is in great hands.

My partner and I cannot be happier with our stay. The place is spotlessly clean, tidy, organised, cosy and tastefully decorated. Michael, our host, was very approachable, attentive, and kind. We felt very comfortably looked after. The hosts' attention to detail is impressive. We were given choices for breakfast the night before, cold and hot, continental and cooked. My partner and I absolutely loved our delicious and fresh breakfast. The location is perfect for travellers who plan to explore Mt Field, Gordon Dam or Hobart and surroundings.

Micheal was an excellent welcoming host. The breakfast was fabulous w the best ever creamy scrambled eggs and we were spoilt for choice with the extensive menu options.

That we couldn’t stay longer than one night

There’s no superlative to express our stay in this gem of accommodation. A boutique bed and breakfast that exceeded our expectations. The decor, attention to detail down to a classy book of information about the stay was second to none we’ve experienced in our extensive travels around the world. Breakfast by Michael was in the same vein, perfection .

A beautiful stately home and gardens. Our hosts Michael & Roberto couldn’t do enough for us. The cheese platter we ordered was delicious. Served in the living room. Photo of the living room…. cheese platter demolished 😁😁 We had a lovely room overlooking the garden. Crispy white sheets a warm doona so we were more than comfortable. We will certainly stay there again.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean comfortable and nicely appointed with a very pleasant garden outlook. There was an extensive breakfast menu and the excellent breakfast was served in a beautifully clean and nicely appointed dining room. There was also a large lounge room provided for guests to use.
